Bioware says they are investigating the feasibility of a patch at some future date

So if you purchased a new collector's edition of Dragon Age and then shelled out even more money for Watcher's Keep you will lose a portion of your items. If you bought Dragon Age used or in a bargain bin all of your items will transfer.
Not that I'm bitter ...

Yeah, Bioware found a way to directly target their best customers for frustration. It's science really
EXACTLY. So much for the claim that Canadians are nice people.
As you said in your other post (and what I said in another thread), this is so annoying as it ticks off mostly their most loyal / obsessive customers.

They're not 'nicer' just more polite

The official word is that fixing this bug was lower priority to completing and polishing the new content, due to the assumption that all carryover gear (including dlc gear) would be quickly replaced by new and more powerful stuff.
Ballz, I am swordless. You would think that incorporating content you had created prior would be fairly simple. Then again I am not a videogame designer so what do I know.

So, given that there is a release day mod that fixes this on the PC, one that listens to the license servers even, I have to agree. How hard could it be to have an official fix to this? Certainly cheaper than all the lost future sales this sort of negative user experience entails.

It's not a matter of stats. There are things you just want to keep.evilkasper wrote...
30 minutes in and I have a sword that is decent.. no Starfang though.
In Oblivion I even used the mannequin mod and made a room full of puppets waering armor sets I liked.
In DAO I'm just not willing to give away all the Grey Warden stuff...

that would be pretty cool to have a whole room in Vigils Keep that showed off all your Wardens gear you had (like Bergon's helm, Effort/Duty).Schwinni wrote...

Don't get me wrong, I want the my DLC as well, just wanted to note that it doesn't take long to get a decent weapon still not as good as what I had though. I wasn't in the habit of stockpiling extra weapons in my inventory. I assume others (not all) didn't keep extra either.

Not buying the expansion until something's done about it.
And I am *not* a whiner usually, and till now have had great respect for Bioware. Just feel ripped off, and the amount of money I paid for the DLC isn't at all the issue. It's about my characters, and that I feel as though Bioware/EA has been dishonourable. There may be technical issues. If so fix them!
