Is there any way to free Sten in Lothering without threatening the Revered Mother?

The Mother trusts Leliana. I left Sten in the prison hold......I'm sure the Blight is eating him up now.

I just picked the lock. Although I didn't put him in my party until after I left town I figured a criminal on death row would not be someone you want following you around town.

Be sure to have Leliana in your party (she's in the tavern in town). The Revered Mother will consult her for advice, and she will suggest that she listen to you, and the Rev Mother will then agree. Also, be sure to suggest that she discharge Sten into your care, rather than saying she should free him just because.

Also if your Sweet talking Skill is up and you have a High Cunning you can talk her into letting him out. I Threatened her the First time though cause it made Morrigan Happy
