See 20 minions and one huge baddy?
Put forcefield on the big bad boss. He becomes invincible but he can't move. He'll literally sit there for a LOOONG time.
Then I clear out all the small baddies around him.
Once the forcefield goes away, you've cleared out his minions and it's just him all alone.
Sometimes..if my party is badly injured. I'll put Forcefield on a big bad boss. Then while he's in "Forcefield"..I'll have my entire team literally quaff some potions, yawn, stretch...until the big bad boss gets out of his forcefield. When he wakes up, he's fighting 4 rejuvenated fighters while he's back at square one.
If you've got 2 or 3 spellcasters...it's cheap.

The fact that Haste from two different mages STACKS. Moving and attacking at double speed is pretty insane.
Whelp, time to respec one of my mages.
-The only stat that mages really need is magic. Willpower can be almost totally ignored.
-Weapon enhancing spells stack when applied by different mages. (fire, frost, and telekinesis).

I love that mod. And I've come to expect bugs from mods that affect gameplay, but there's nothing about the nature of that mod that would make you think it creates invisible walls that prevent you from finishing the game.
It's a really weird bug, too, in order to get rid of the "invisawalls" it makes, you need to disable it, go back to an earlier save in another zone, and RELOAD the ENTIRE AREA, or the spawned "invisawall" won't go away.
How weird that it does this. I hope it gets fixed at some point.

Why would you say this? Willpower = mana, right? Granted, you have easy regen of mana btwn fights, but within a fight...

Yeah, I second the "there's an easy way?" "Doing everything" isn't necessarily easy.Delrayn wrote...
There's an "easy" way to get to level 25? The most I've been able to get doing everything I can find is level 22 -D'OH

Lyrium pots are cheap and infinite. A stack of lesser pots is like 3 gold.
All extra willpower will do is let you cast one extra spell or so. The average spell costs around 50 mana, so you need 10 points in willpower to make a difference in casting. That's 3+ levels right there. It's simply more efficient to dump everything into magic and pop pots for mana.

on topic:
"If you click then hold both mouse buttons, your character will move continuously while you control direction with the mouse."
Whaaa? After reading the whole thread and laughing at things that I knew all along, I found this little piece of information. I much prefer this kind of movement style, ready to go try it out!

2, I didn't realize after trying out 3-4 rogues how effective Momentum actually is. Since it said it drained stamina rapidly I tended to avoid it. After actually having tried it is terrible to play without it.
3, I didn't know about the dragon fight in Orzammar until I read about it here on the forum.
4, It took several playthroughs to realize that the book Cammen and Gheyna gives you and the amulet you get from Athras actually can be used for trading with the crazy blood mage hermit.

It also took me a while to figure out how to swap weapons sets (/ key or the button to the left of char name), not that that is so important.
Finally, I was annoyed to find out that I could get the key to the mage's chest from the prisoner - heck, didn't even realise there WAS a prisoner there for the first couple of runs
Edit - oh, yes, I also took a while to find out that you chould change parties when in big towns, without having to go back to camp, and that you can use the map to travel to places, without having to go to the exit physically in some cases.

Learning that exactly the merchant I made disappear in Orzanmar by bashing up the thugs in his shop was an infinite supply of flasks in the game and the cheapest on top. Now, if Morrigan wants to make health potions I always have to switch between camp and world to get the flasks and make the potions.
That I always run to the wrong altar to perform the elven ritual. The right one being just behind me.
Learning in this thread that you can stack poisons on weapons.

I think it was my third playthrough when I finally figured out you could actually get that crate and chest on top of the barn thingy by the tavern. I thought it was a bug and they were unreachable. I think that was the same playthrough I finally found what the heck you do with those ashes in the Wilds.
I didn't know about the Ageless dragon or stacking poisons for at least four playthroughs. My first playthrough I also didn't realize about removing runes until at least 3/4 of the way through--I blame that on playing Guild Wars where such runes can only be removed at great risk of destroying your armor in the process unless you have special tools.
I really don't read the codex entries so Maker alone knows what else I've missed.
