I know the profile on the ME2 site says grunt is 22. But is that really accurate, has he been in that chamber growing for 22 years? What is this age based on?

The profile ages are human mental ages. He thinks roughly like a human 22-year-old, with the obvious cross-species differences.

Huh, that is kinda weird. Its not really detirmined in game how old Grunt is, but the other tank grown krogan says hes only a week old (or something).



Maybe Grunt was grown longer and something must have happened to the other Krogan while they were growing and were labeled failures.



This seems like the most logical situation.

One of the devs already posted on these here forums that the ages listed in the website profiles are human-equivalent ages and that grunt is not 22 years old. Nor is Mordin actually 50, he is closer to 30. Sorry, I'm too lazy to search for the exact post right now.

I thought Grunt was more like 13 or 14 years old, human equivalent, maybe because of his whole "coming of age" loyalty mission and general self-discovery. It all struck me as very pubescent. (Don't tell me I'm the only person who thought Tuchanka was the Krogan Bar Mitzvah?)

Didn't think of it as a Bar Mitzvah...None of the Bar Mitzvah's I've been to included Thresher Maws. But yes, joke noted, and certainly, coming of age theme, undoubtedly. 

Age? Mentally around 22 sounds right. Not 13 or 14, talk to Grunt, and Wrex, they explain: Grunt did Rite later in development than most Krogan do.

This explains why it became pent up, caused him distress, anger.
