They are outside of the main hall, across the first bridge that you approach the fortress from. There is one of the large chests and a vase. A set of broken boots are in the chest, which need to be repaired. They'll be made into the Greaves of Hirol's Defense. Graphic: http://img11.imagesh...hirolsboots.jpg
In a related query, do you recall where you picked up the breastplate? I've been over the map thrice now, and I can't find it. IIRC, I found the helm in the tomb, the gauntlets in the treasury, and a belt from the shrine. No chest piece.
