I've gone off and went to Direct to Download and bought Dragon Age: Awakening... ($40 dollars Image IPB)
It downloads, I am given a number key and is ready to install-I click on the setup button and I get this message:

This version of The Dragon Age: Origins-Awakening installer does not support your installed language of
Dragon Age Origins

Of course this burns the question-If I had been playing the game another lauguage...
Why would they give me this warning messages in US/English? Image IPB

I am running Windows 7, have all the other add ons and my game is played in US/English...

I have reinstalled Dragon Age Origins and the game is updated to patch 1.03

I won't cry...yet!  Image IPB

I think I just figured it out. Try extracting the zip file you downloaded into your Dragon Age folder in your program files. That seemed to solve the problem for me.

I noticed there was a new pair of language options in the config menu yesterday, after installing 1.03. There were 2 options and they were both set to 'en-us'. Try changing those to another option ('English' was the only other one for me, I think) and see if that makes a difference.

Please, let's not dig in such a terribly old part of the graveyard, shall we not?  Start your own thread if there's nothing recent.  Don't unearth such old worm-eaten stuff as this.

One of the moderators took note of the off-topic situation and moved the thread to where it should have been a year ago, from the General Subjects forum.
