Anyway just load up your origins and wear something that transfers over. Nothing too fancy since you'll pick up nicer stuff quickly.
If you're angry about the losing the armor for lore reasons. you will get proper grey warden armor in the expansion that fits your station.
If you want the armor just for looks then i would recommend downloading the fan made mod.
If you were complaining about the other items umm... what was so awesome about them that you need them over more useful awakening stuff?

I have never felt let down by Bioware before. I feel like I did when I found out that there was no Santa.
This is what I mean about using up your fan's goodwill. I think Bioware will one day realize that fixing the DLC bug before release was in fact the less expensive option.

The info on this stuff not transfering has been out for a long time, if you didn't bother to look that up before hand, that's your own dang fault.
What percentage of the fan base reads this site, is the thing? Probably a lot less than you'd think. I think the large majority of players see the game is available, load it up and get to see their characters butt cheeks in the breeze never once encountering the FAQ
And probably we're only seeing a small portion of those that do post about it here.
Bioware blackens their name each time it happens.

If I didn't bother to troll the forums for the info that I -paid- for content and now am going to have it repo-ed for the expansion.. it's my own dang fault. *wink* I can live with that.
Also.. Ragnok77 has a point. I saved up for some kick-arse bling for my character.. bought them from the merchants in the normal areas.. and they are also gone.. along with my PANTS.
An answer to why those items are gone would be nice, too.

I'm curious to know what's causing this. People have mentioned losing vanilla game items as well as DLC, others have said that their DLC that wasn't meant to carry over has, and others have suggested using a mod that lets you carry over DLC items.
...now, I wonder, if it was that easy to create a mod in such a small amount of time for us to carry DLC items over to Awakening, why didn't Bioware do it in the first place?
What the hell is going on phere?

Well, fraking pardon me for avoiding all forums/discussions to avoid the inevitable spoilers <_<_SPRHLYWD21_ wrote...

I always sort of assumed that DLC had two main draws: 1) plot-line; 2) loot.
I would dearly love to hear the developers' rationale for stripping us of the loot that we paid for.

BUT STARFANG IS MY SWORD
I NEED IT
Get the mod.
On a marginally related note - I just realized that although my Starfang was missing before the mod, I had the Helm of Honleath equipped, no problem - and you get that the same place you get Shale.... Oh well, moving on.

Agree. I didn't know the star sword was dlc. So, now I'm naked with no weapon. But its okay because I'm supposed to fight all these darkspawn naked and with my bear hands so I can find a better sword? WTFever. Now I gotta load up Origins and strip my team of gear for me. Gear that will most likely make me look like an overgrown dwarf......

So you robbed us, literally, of our hard earned money then refuse to let us use our goods? Then laugh about it? Talk about being classy.
What Bioware has done is basically said "Don't buy our DLC because you won't get to use it". You are kidding yourself if you thought people bought RtO for the story. What story? It didn't exist. All it was a 2-zone dungeon stomp for a couple of decent items. The same with Warden's Keep, but losing items from that DLC is more egregious because Starfang was one of the best swords in the game.

Sad but true. I think I'll be holding off on buying Awakening after all. Glad I visited the forums before I did.

We paid a good amount of money for all this DLC and can't use it in the expansion? Yet PC players can use a mod to get their gear over meanwhile us PS3 and Xbox users get screwed. I had no idea we could not bring our DLC over if I had known I would never got the expansion and most likely would have traded in DOA.
This is a major scam on your part Bioware you robbed us of our money at least thats the way i see it.
