My mage doesn't have any DLC armour/weapons in Awakening, but she is a Blood Mage, and I'm having the same "class name not found" error as other people. Will try the mod linked to for now, but I'd prefer an official patch.

Thanks for the reports, guys. The QA team is working to investigate this. Just to get the obvious questions out of the way, can you verify that the Warden's Keep DLC is still installed and activated on your machine and account. Let us know!
Also, please be sure you have any mods deactivated to make sure one of those is not getting in the way.
...Seriously?
Do not feed us this, PLEASE. It is IMMEDIATELY obvious to any modder why the skills do not work and so it is probably obvious to your team why the skills do not work.
Please don't treat your fans like this. Don't give us the "customer service" run-around when it is more than clear that the fault lies on Bioware's end and not because of player created mods.

@traversc - agree!!
what ticks me off is that if a modder can fix it easily then the corporate might of bioware should have been able to come out with a zero day patch or something..
i had to replay some 2-3 hours worth of awakening because i stumbled on the mod only after i started...
btw, warden helm / boots / gloves all upgrade to tier 9 after the buy-sell routine... only the armor itself is capped at tier 7...

Nothing official, no. I'm using this mod (which is different, and I think better, than the one posted a page or 2 ago):

Works like a charm with my 20th level Blood Mage. Easy to roll-back once (or IF) there's an official patch out, too.

I have only official DLC installed. Wardens Keep activated. Power of Blood talents were working in Origins, they are not in Awakenings.
Talents currently display "class name not found", there are no descriptions. Activating talents in game do absolutely nothing.

I've come across this bug too. If I load an old Origins save game it has the right label, descriptions etc.

Same problem here, any response from BIoware on this issue?

Posté 26 mars 2010 - 05:54
I don't have an update, but I can respond to let you know that it is in our bug database and we're working toward a resolution in an upcoming update.
(Disregard my earlier message. That was during launch week, when the issue was first called out. We've verified it since then)

That database must be getting full by now. Sad that there don't seem to be any replies to the major CF that was patch 1.03. I enjoyed Dragon Age so much that I don't even want to start Awakening in its current state. I just hope you haven't spent all your "fan capital" with all these problems.

Posté 27 mars 2010 - 04:55
Soooo why wasn't it verified BEFORE launch week? I mean, I played 2 minutes of awakening and "verified" it. Did all of your testing happen without dlc installed? Or more importantly... was there testing?
#65
Posté 27 mars 2010 - 05:49
I'm sure there was testing, but it doesn't catch everything (never does). The RTO debacle is proof that there are holes in Bioware's QA, so this is no great surprise. It is likely that most of the testing was done with the majority of DLC disabled/not installed save perhaps RTO since it was supposed to be supported. I say this because of other problems reported with the patch - referring to certain Awakening items sharing models with the Soldier's Peak content when that DLC is enabled (instead of their new, proper models).
As to why nothing has been done about it yet...it is likely these fixes, due to their number and their complexity, will take a while to identify and test. Even if Bioware lets us know when the testing/certification has begun, it is likely to be a two week delay before we'll see it, and that's if they don't find any new problems with their fixes. I wouldn't expect to hear anything until they have sorted out this mess - and that could be a while. My greatest concern is that Bioware relies too much on their test cases and automated testing procedures. Nearly all of the problems reported with the 1.03 patch were identified within 24 hours of the Awakening launch, so it's difficult to see how a living, breathing person that is being paid to test the product could have missed so many of them.

There is a major incompatibility bug with Awakening and Warden's Keep and it affects even the looks of some unique Awakening Elite items!
http://social.biowar...7/index/1939177
Until the issue is solved it would be nice a line about it in the Awakening Launch FAQ sticky, suggesting Warden's Keep owners to disable it before starting a game in Awakening. I would never have imagined that the best sword in the game looked like Starfang because of this issue. For me it was just some designer lack of imagination when in fact, Vigilance looks awesome if you can get it showing the intended design!

I am having the same problem (class name not found) as well as Wardens Keep and Return to Ostagar not showing on the map.
Seems 1.03 borked some of their own DLC?

Well, the unofficial patch is for those who WANT WK items imported. Does it fix Vigilance looks as well? And I don't care about the items. I just don't want the DLC messing with the Expansion only because it is enabled. How the frak were we supposed to know that it actually is causing issues?
And BloodWynn, if you're talking about WK and RtO not showing on Origins map, they normally don't, until we trigger it by speaking to those who give the quests. 1.03 didn't cause issues with Origins. A few more crashes than normal (hadn't had one in 700hrs till 1.03 was installed) and some pathfinding weirdness that I hadn't noticed before the patch.

I had been to WK and RtO already in the campaign, updated to 1.03, still went there a few more times, then all of a sudden I start the game one morning and they are no longer on my World map. Happened about the same time I noticed the (class name not found) bug.
Kind of odd...

How does one disable WK DLC on a console as to have Vigilance with the intended looks? Some ppl are asking me this but I can't find a thread here with an answer to direct them to it.

I even wen't as far as to get the mod, but it still didn't fix the missing names thingy. The gray warden commander armor is named after it's toolset code and the power of the blood abilities remain unnamed.
I can confirm that everything is installed and active on my PC and

Odd... Which mod you go for? The one I linked to above? Or the one linked to in Gladiador2's sig?
