I really love this gun, the best Heavy Weapon in ME2 so far. Everything about the Arc rocks, massive damage to shields and very good damage against barriers, armor and health. Best of all though is its CC effect. Check
out this Vid.

The first two scenes are from Jack’s Recruitment mission. These are pretty straightforward (just the normal HW business – fire a big gun to hurt multiple enemies at once), but effective nonetheless.

The third scene is interesting. I charge a BS Commando with two defense layers, but the CC effect works! He’s disabled for a few moments (just long enough to switch back to the shotgun and finish him off I think). The second shot doesn’t have the CC effect though (bummer). I don’t yet know how and when this CC works exactly.

The first parts of the video are from the Prison Break vid I made the other day. I did a couple of run-throughs of the mission and used the best scenes for the video. I fell in love with the Arc and remembered the previous mission (Mordin’s) fighting large groups of enemies in close quarters – the ideal environment for the Arc!

So I reloaded and progressed to Mordin’s clinic, just to do some crazy stuff. The first scene is at the BS guard post and speaks for itself. The second scene I deliberately executed a suicide charge, just to have a good look what happens firing the Arc – total devastation. The last scene is played with some caution to complete the fight.

I only had an hour to make this video (including playing Mordin’s mission so far), so don’t comment on quality and stuff, its experimental and after I watched the footage, I wanted to post this asap to see what you guys think.

The Mordin recruitment sections were really good, it looked like the exploding barrels added to the mess as well.

I noticed the BS Commando falling to one knee as you mentioned, even though he still had protection. Maybe the second one didn't take effect because he had not recovered from the first shot? I.e., his "getting up" animation had not yet completed, so you couldn't knock him back down? (Otherwise you could use the gun to stun-lock entire groups of people.) Loose theory.

I have PC and Arc Projector doesn't do that at all. I've tried it in numerous missions (in games of soldier & infiltrator, tried both) and I've NEVER seen electricity sparks or anything like UR vid shows. That is sssoooo awesome, I wish the damn thing would do that on my PC. Because it doesn't, it's the most worthless weapon in my arsenal....

The Arc is pretty OP due to massive damage (especially on low levels) and a lot of ammo, though it has cool effects :)

The Arc is the best and defintely the most fun heavy weapon available. Check out the action in the first section of Mordin's recruitment mission: insanity craziness

Not only does it inflict massive damage - it also makes Pyros go boom! I hated those guys playing Vanguard, but with the arrival of the Arc - I love them.

I haven't tested the Arc at higher levels though.

I do not use heavy weapons, it is not needed and really does not belong to the game from my biased point of view. Though I did have like 5 minutes of fun with the Arc, it is too powerful for my likings.
And btw pyros are a piece of cake if you use Cryo Ammo :)

Pyros are a piece of cake at medium/long range since they can't touch you. But if you charge into a fight, without knowing that one or two pyros are hanging out there - you're screwed. If you remove the armor you've won (overload or a well placed shot takes care of them).

Man this makes me really excited to play an adept.

That thing strips all defenses off the entire group of enemies in 2 shots. Talk about awesome.

Those videos also rock, I think this would be excellent with Area Charge for the above reason. Strip all defenses and then area charge for massive knockback, HOW FUN! I might have a NewGame+ coming up with liberal use of this weapon.
