When the DA servers are down (as is the case right now!), why do DLC items (in my case the "Amulet of the War Mage") prevent me from loading my Awakening saved files?? I understand fully that DLC items (even stuff from the collector's
edition) do not carry over into Awakenings, so why can't I load a game with a character that wouldn't have any access/use for those items anyway??

Aaarghh...this is stupid, frustrating and makes absolutely no sense, but I suppose it's appropriate considering the other techincal issues with the game. I regret now ever touching that DA: Journeys
game.

  I agree Switzki, this definitely needs a sticky.  You deserve a good pat on the back though for all the effort you put in here on the forum. I cannot count the number of these posts that I've gone into and noticed you handing out this info helping people.

Thanks very much for your reply!  When I first encountered this problem with DA:O, I had looked at the game saved items through the dashboard/My Xbox settings, but I didn't know that some items were bundled together as I guess that the Amulet of the War Mage is in the same data block as The Edge (which doesn't seem to be a problem). I will give the solution a try once I get a successful connection to the DA servers.
