Help! Interior Keep Oghren Bug, Can't Progress?

Alright, just started playing, I am in the Interior Keep killed all enemies in the area and I enter a room with Oghren in it and a locked door, I try to talk to Oghren and he says "Talk later, now its darkspawn killing time"... Theres no darkspawn in that room and I can't move forward due to unpickable locked door. Am I missing something?

Ditto.

I'm quite annoyed. I'm 5 minutes in, not impressed with what I've seen, and now I can't even get any further.

Also kind of pissed that my mage didn't have his staff when I imported...

same thing on all my imported chars, going to try a new character, but this is pretty early for game stopping bug

It really is pretty bad.

Tried twice with imported, once with new character. Same thing every time.

I tried luring the enemies in the room before to where Oghren is so he could kill them. But apparently its STILL darkspawn killing time.

In Toegoff's 3rd video, entering the Interior Keep he fought 3 shrieks right away, well there weren't any in my game... So does this mean there are missing enemies for some of us which is why Oghren won't respond?

That makes sense actually. In that case it could be similar to the Redcliff by night bug that causes enemies to get stuck, not load or take ages to load.
Then the game would be waiting for you to complete the shriek ambush part before making Oghren interactable.

Watched more of that video and there are enemies located in other parts that I never encountered. The room where Oghren is, is also supposed to be filled with enemies...

It's not really a matter of difficulty; it's more of a matter of enemies not being there at all.

Tried all difficulties anyway and same thing. Pretty sure difficulty doesnt change the amount of enemies.

Not sure what to make of it then. I'm assuming you guys are playing the PC version? Did you buy the disc for both or mix (disc and DLC)?

Bought the Awakenings disc; pretty sure Malice got it off Steam.

Ah hah.

I had two addins installed (Pocket Plane and gift-guide). Removing them seems to have resulting in missing NPCs and foes coming to life in the courtyard.

Heh. Game's a lot less empty now. Feels much less disapointing.

Which addins would those be, might I ask?  And did you remove addins from your Origins save and import it or did you just uncheck them and resume the save?

Heh. Game's a lot less empty now. My earlier disapointment is gone.


Good to know it was just a mod conflicting with the game.

Hope that's the same for everyone else.

We have a winner! its the addins, removed everything from my bioware folder in my documents other the save/character and setting, loaded it up right before entering the keep and shrieks, spawned... now to figure out which 1 is the problem 1...

Uninstalled Pocket Plane and the shrieks spawned. Will post back after getting to Oghren

Another conflicting mod, No companions auto level. When meeting the first 2 companions neither had level up options when there were suppose to. thats all I've found so far.
