 Just give him a neat futuristic mass field producing battle axe or warhammer, a full beard (including femshep), and a biotic powered warhorn that activates an uncontrollable fear response in enemies, and he'll be set.

Heck, the hammer could even use thermal clips. And when he reloads, he flicks the searing hot clip at the nearest enemy, setting them aflame.

I currently am playing it.  He needs a warhammer.  It should shatter shields too. Maybe not so effective against armor though.

EDIT: You probably would have been more relevant to tell me to play Halo, what with the energy sword and the Grav Hammer being in that particular series. 

I thought about this while elbow bashing the colossus to death while continuously biotic charging it to recharge my shields.

Actually the claymore is pretty much the anti-thesis of a melee weapon. Since it one shots the majority of enemies in the game, you never get a chance to melee them any way.

Why not add stuff like a mass effect field energy sword? Also, charge would have been much cooler if you had combo attacks you could do after hitting them.

Yeah, he could have a chargin' targe that does extra damage when he biotic charges and makes a protective hitbox.

The only reason that scene is in the movie was because Ford was suffering from Dysentery at the time. He was originally going to fight the guy hand to hand, but he was too sick, so he ad libbed shooting the guy, and the rest of the crew loved it.

I  think he may be comparing the Claymore to an actual claymore sword, you kind of a play on words.

Reference to human cult. Worshippers of Chaos God Khorne. Never met a Chaos God worthy of the title.

Image of Shepard fighting in melee somehow compelling, amusing. Worth consideration. Passive, at least.

Thank you.  And, yes.  Should have been obvious, since the only time a Claymore is effective is when one is ramming the muzzle down and enemies throat before pulling the trigger.

play on words it may be, but it kinda shows that there are melee weapons in this game, and they're called shotguns, trying to use them from range is like waving a hanky at car about to run you down, utterly pointless. The dlc evi has given them a bit more range, but its still very shoddy at anything even approaching true "range".
