Anatomically speaking, I'm far more similar to a unicorn.

That's pretty cool. Seems like you (and others, like Lilith) put some real thought into your names. As opposed to, you know, using the same name they used for a video game characterImage IPB.

See, I used to do that. For years I went by Inanna elsewhere. Thing is, any name of significance is often already taken. Especially if it's drawn from any well known mythological figure. I dislike having to tack on numbers to my name just to use it too, so after awhile I decided not to bother. I agree on principle though. Those names tend to be more interesting; particularly if one recognizes their origin.

@Volus Biotic - You should let it go. Seriously. That mess is dead and buried. What you are doing now could be considered harassment if it persists.

Why didn´t you use that! I mean, the godess of love, the Morning Star (she was associated with Venus) and the most ancient name for the godess who become Isthar/Astarte with semitic influence is awesome.
Plus the poems of her and Dumuzi are beautiful. =]

Yes, don't remind me. >.<

I didn't use it because I was tired of it being taken everywhere. That and I disliked the idea of Inanna78 or some similar thing. For years I tacked on a 78 at the end of all my online accounts, whether it was Inanna or something else. I got sick of it. For once, I wanted a name that felt like my own, and without any numbers attached.

Ah, yes. Not everyone wants to use the name of a camera company! Image IPB

Actually your name sounds almost like "almost" in quiché (the language of the Mayans): oulak.

@Statulos - The ship has sailed. I'm comfortable with my current name. It isn't comparable to divinities maybe, but at least it's mostly mine.

@ Sarevok Anchev and others: Apologies for the oversized image, but I think you guys might enjoy this comic by Gianna Masetti. :P "The Noob" specifically parodies MMORPGs and their peculiar natures, BTW.

That reminds me of my younger, more naive self...My name's Devin, right? So, I log onto battl.net, and I want my username to be "Devin". I was absolutely devasted when it wanted to put some crazy number in back of my prettiful name. Image IPB

From there, I spawned "Godak".

It's not the November I object to, it's the Cousland.

When I was signing up, at one point I thought they were asking me what my current characters name was, for linking purposes. That wasn't what they were asking me.

After extensive research I have found that it is impossible to change your screen name. Even by deleting your account and making a new one (I did that.) Somehow it imports. Even with a different email address, go figure. So I'm a Cous forever.
