Yes - what happened is that I got a guy that I shouldn't have yet, because I haven't been there. (this is assuming the Qunari you get in the mines is the same one who shows up at the Keep.) I'd done it before on my warrior - this was on the rogue. I got back from Sigrun's quest & found him there. But maybe it's another Qunari.

If this works for everyone, it is a good solution for those who are stuck at that spot. But others continued playing the story after losing their items. The above post will allow them to retrieve them, as if they never lost them, without having to reload and play again from a previous save.Epona222 wrote...
I thought the bug occurred if your main character's equipped gear could not be equipped by the "experiment" character due to too high strength/dex/magic requirements.
Unequipping all weapons and armour from my main character before walking across the cutscene trigger worked for me - I got it all back in the chest next to the merchant rather than finding it equipped on an enemy. If you wake up in the prison cell naked then you have hit the bug, if you wake up wearing normal clothes it is ok.
I got around the bug by unequipping my gear before walking into the mine.

The problem is not just the bug. The problem is that there are players like me who did not know they were bugged in the first place. So we advanced all the way until Armaan and the chest without finding our gear. And as a result all our autosaves and quicksave are in the Silverite Mines. And I was rushing through the game and did not expect a bug, and so did not create an independent save.

I'm in the sme situation as the above poster. No hard saves, and all autosaves + quick save is in a bugged Silverite Mine.

Same issue. No experimental subject for main character and no items in the chest by the merchant. Auto-saves are all within the mine.
This is a showstopper bug for me. All the best equipment was on my main character. How about releasing the console command and item codes for adding items?
Check how many "items" are listed in the EQUIPMENT_ITEMS tree, by expanding the [+] icon. If you are fully equipped, you should have 0-8. The "unequipped" save shouldn't have an expandable tree under EQUIPMENT_ITEMS.CheddarMonkey wrote...
Sarezar, I followed your guide and it got me my weapons back but none of the equipment. Not sure why, I copied the whole savegame_equipment_items node and deleted before I pasted. I also checked the old savegame to confirm all the items I wanted were there and checked the names of the items in the savegame_equipment_items node. My only guess is that where must have been a problem with loading some item, I guess I'll try it item by item.
