Wished I saw this post, lol prior to trying this puzzle out.



Never understood the objective, but got the rewarding luckily after messing around with the stones for about a couple of hours.

You just gotta read the journal that you get from the scholar`s body near the granite deposit, you can read the journal in your codex-- Quest-Related. Or you can visit this page and look at this picture:

Anyway, since you`ve already done the quest it probably doesn`t matter, but I`m just saying ^^

You just need the fire to touch every stone, the stones do not need to be linked to each other with a line of fire. There is a big difference. If you touch a stone with fire from one angle, the stone won't necessarily be linked up to surrounding stones. That is fine. Just make sure each stone is touched by the fire once.

You can either trigger the ones you have done backward to get back to the starting point, or you can log out and back in.

Didn't see any reward?????? Thought it would show in the center.  It does when you click on the first stone again

i gotta say, the solution was what i thought would work to begin with, then i decided it was a "light up all sections" and backtracked... damn. also, the journal didn't really help at all, its obviously a loop lol. i feel like they could've dropped a wee bit more of a hint

 If anybody is having trouble with this still... You don't need to light up all of the paths or stones or whatever, the objective is to connect the ring of fire back to the first stone, that is the only part that matters. The easiest way to do this is to follow the steps in the picture that is linked on the first page, just make sure you connect #20 back to #1 when you're done.
