but that doenst give the excuse of letting the imported characters have NOTHING when loaded in. my rogue was imported with no weapon, so im to be... fisting then?
and my arcane mage had no armor, he was in his underwear!!!! if dlc is not imported, AT LEAST give some basic armor. i imagine we new items are obtained by killing. not /dance in birthday suit...

Yes, sorry if it wasn't clear. The project is a fan made mod and not officially supported by Bioware.
I'm personally waiting for an official patch before purchasing, but for those of yall who've already bought it, this might smooth over the rough start.

Even though DLC items are officially not supported in the expansion (this is not a surprise, or unexpected, or broken), there are plenty of new items to be found, so keep on playing. Bump the difficulty too. Normal is far too easy.
It was in the FAQ sure, but I think it's pretty clear it was unexpected for a lot of the folks who bought it

I sure hope that the patch for Xbox goes out. Can't tell you how frustrating it is to load on my character and to find that my favorite sword, (Starfang) and my Warden Commander armor isn't there. My guess is that someone from Bioware dropped the ball and forgot to put the file code to transfer over the items. Or, most likely, the DLC has a different format than the OC, and it was accidentally overlooked.
It was a known issue they brought up a few weeks ago. It affects all pre RTO dlc. The problem seems to be that the item files are stored under their respective modules folder, and not the core game folder. The mod moves them to the core game folder, so they then import cleanly.
Hopefully there will be an official patch soon.

I'm having the same issue for the PC version. Those are my favorite two items in game and I enter "Vigil" in my undies?

They've said for the last month that most DLC items other than RTO loot will not transfer over. It wasn't overlooked or forgotten or leftout or etc... it's been mentioned in the Awakening faqs.
It's one thing to complain about bugs, but quite another to keep whingeing about something that you have actually been previously told about...

That assumes that everyone who purchased Awakenings read the FAQs....I'm not sure if reading the FAQs should be a prerequisite to purchasing the expansion pack. But yes technically Bioware covered their butt by posting the info in FAQs.
I still fail to understand the logic behind this decision. A part of the attraction you have for a character is their armor and weapons.
So yes....Bioware posted this info in their FAQs. But I cant help but notice that Bioware didn't heavily promoting the fact that you can import your practically naked, potentially weaponless character to our new expansion pack that costs almost as much as the original game.
