That's not a "fact" that is the opinion of the most frustrated and angry message board posters. I have never seen any stats about DAO and DAO A causing a customer loss

I'm an "angry customer" but not gonna out right stop buying games, but I wouldnt doubt that they are losing customers from this, not overall. I imagine they are gaining more NEW members than losing OLD members. Which I think is what he is saying.Haexpane wrote...

Check out "Awakening Plus v1-0", Everything seems to be working fine. Most of the bugs are being fixed, i'm beta testing this file at the moment.

It actually is a fact. Not sure how many customers they are going to lose because there are no stats. They lost me and several of my friends. I have also seen many angry people online say the same thing. They are losing customers. The fact that I am no longer a customer makes it a fact.Haexpane wrote...

1) I found the sentinel boots on a boss (don't remember which one though)
2)Vigilance looks like Starfang which made a bit angry since this is the best sword and has the most badass look. (wardens keep bug) And i'm not dissabling it because it might ruin my story...
3)Can't use the Power of Blood talents!!! They are the best talents for a reaver!!!!!
I hope they make a pach soon...

Well, you've been lucky, Lycans... I ran in the sigrun personal quest bug AND the 100% approval bug. That's the first game I've seen with "bug avoiding walkthroughts" around...

Yeah, same here. While as a software dev myself, I daresay I have slightly more patience for buggy software than the average punter, running into a 100% repeatable bug as blatant as this leaves me with a bit of bad taste in the mouth.

Good to know, another reason not to get it and simply wait for Mass Effect 3.

So, is awakening that bad? My friend told me that after having beaten the first game (I saw some of it - nice end fight), he started up the awakening part, but was hampered by the lack of his sword (starfang he called it I believe?) so that he had to run through an entire area with a) close combat done with his fists andwith strangers he didn't know, which kind of sucked since he had got promises from a couple of others that they would stay around, especially a redhead he banged (the thief I think)... So I can take it the Awakening part is both buggy and won't import important decicions made in Origins?
Good to know, another reason not to get it and simply wait for Mass Effect 3.
Honestly, Awakening was a cracking expansion. I wasn't a fan of the new conversation system and it never made much sense as to why Zevran or Leliana weren't in it, but in terms of content, it was excellent.
What really hit it hard was the lack of polish and the multiple serious bugs.

Wait a sec - those are party members, right? Leliana was the thief my firend banged, and at that final party where you could talk to everybody except Morgan who had dissappeared apparently, Leilana told the protagonist (buddy's big hero) that she wanted to tag along on the road, but she was apparently nowhere to be found. And if not that kind of sucks, because as we understand, Awakening is happening right after Origins, so no one should have had much time to upset the general balance too much. Or? Are we totally out here?
Right, I borrowed the Dragon Age Origins from him to see if I could do better - lets see how I think about it...

merchants Lilith and that Qunari - are they supposed to sell something at the Vigil? They are on endless loop/lillith and not responding/qunari. Is that a bug?
- Didnt trigger Sigrun and Velanna personal quests
- plus the central building in Amaranthine; theres a cage on top of it (press tab) but the door are locked...how to get there? Another quest not triggered?
- Law and Order bugged - cant finish the quest.
- Lack of high rank runes to craft grandmaster or paragon runes (W T F ?).
- Justice 100% approval from the start.
- Some inconsistencies in the epilogue...
- lots of minor bugs with animation, attributes, skills and whatnot...

I'd like to do Sigrun & valenna's side quests sometime this year without have'n to use a "how to avoid massive quest glitches" guide

Nope, they don't sell anything to you, but having recruited them both means Woolsey will reward you with 60 gold coins and I believe Yuriah is supposed to get more stuff to sell you.

1 & 2, same here. I suspect the door may have something to do with the dark wolf, but 1st around I just killed him and second time I didn't recruit Anders, so it didn't come up and he was not around (working as intended). Law and order works fine as long as you don't try to deal with the sumglers first.....
- Lack of high rank runes to craft grandmaster or paragon runes (W T F ?).
You need to craft it all the way up from a bunch of novice runes to the super-awesome runes. It costs a bit of money and you need to get all the recquired tracings, but once you get the hang of it it's not that bad. Plus you'll only ever need runes for 4 guys at most. Would be better if you could have your companions craft in camp, of course...
- Justice 100% approval from the start.
Same, but it also happened with Sigrun and could probably happen to almost anyone, really. <_<

The endless loop is a bug, yes, but no, they're not supposed to sell anything. The rest was just explained to you.
BTW, Yuriah is supposed to get 2 upgrades, this is one of them, Prima says there's a 3rd upgrade, if you find out how he gets it let me know - the guide sure doesn't say.

That cage has to do with the Smugglers' Run quest; the one mutually exclusive to Law & Order.
People are complaining about spoilers (can't help it sometimes, in order to discuss the bugs, but ...) ... so I won't say more.

Another minor annoying thing is that bomber dwarf
Furthermore...I completed the game with almost NO UPGRADES/ARMOUR/WEAPONS for the PC. I run aaaaallll the way with my wade medium dragonbone armour, used dunmat spine sword and keening blade (just before the end Wade crafted a new one - dragonbone sword...). I felf like a terminator in kindergarten...I jumped in the thick of the battle no matter how many ogres and whatnot were there killing almost single hadedly all enemies - after completing fade warrior class it was even easier :/
The companions were dragging far behind...
My PC is DW warrior/berserker/champion/fade warrior. The game from the start was efforteless on hard :/

For someone who's so backward that they think it takes a month to write the kind of patch that Awakening needs, this seems a bit rich.

Word that they're actually working on it, and some idea of what it might fix (again, it doesn't have to be in painful detail), is all I'd like to see. That I haven't seen.

Nice.
Wait, this is a paid game, right?
BTW, I didt play any dlcs with Origins, no equipement, quests or companions...Still I encountered many bugged scenarios, mechanics, content and other (not mentioning bad scripting).
Whatever, uninstalled, I wont bother anymore, I lost my interest.

She was still sporting this attire upon reaching the Silverite Mine; but thanks to the 'Experimental Subject' bug she lost it all !!
Hypothetically speaking, if this particular segment of the expansion pack didn't take place would she have been able to wear it for the duration of the campaign ?
(She lost a kick-ass crossbow and a pair of longswords too)
I also have Ser Alvard's sword sitting in my inventory but the quest to locate it is still active...... I'm assuming that this is a bug too ??????

And this is the real problem. Users would rather just whine and moan about it rather than make a statement by not purchasing.
I have chosen to make my stand by not purchasing any further games until Bioware/EA show they are not following the release and forget business model. There are plenty of games out there I can play that are finished and work as intended.

you can get two of them, someone drops one and then there is a "quest" aquired one that you can pick up after completeing the marsh quests that will update your journal.
generally speaking, considering the content and quests, Awakening wasn't so bad, i veiwed it as buggy DLC that wasn't re-hashed maps, so i apperciate that. i was sad that there wasn't any romance options becouse im in a marriage of convience with a woman who apparently cannot bare children, i miss my hardend bard who's ok with threesomes! the first female dwarf as a romance option would have been cool to see, so i hope they add it in.
i had to read a TON of forums and user post before i learned how to navigate Awakening without running into bugged quests, its very playable if you read up on what order to do a few quest, and i stress that there are only a few area's where you need to be careful on how you navigate.
I enjoyed the game, but i do think it needs a Patch.
Awakening tips so you can play it without pulling your hair out ->
Recruit sigrun immediatly to do her companion quest and put her through the Joining, do not pick up both the gaurds quest and the smugglers guy's quest (you first see him leaning up a against a tree) otherwise you'll be unable to do both, and do not pick up any of thoes quests till AFTER you've completed sigruns companion quest.
Hit F5 like there is no tommorow, the game does not auto-save all that often, so to ensure you keep all your stuff or dont bug anything out, anytime you update a quest without issues, give F5 (quick-save) a loving tap. might save you hours of re-playing.
