Also, the ME novel states that qurians have skin, and it didn't mention anything about exoskelletons or plates. Also Tali is a bit to... curvy to have any raised plates.

I dunno, perhaps the devs will just keep it all a mystery. Besides, you wouldn't really want to be disappointed do you? Tali's beauty is all in your imagination haha!
It would be dumb for Bioware to keep Quarians face, be it Tali or some other Quarian, a mystery forever. It was a nice joke in ME2, but if they try it again on ME3 it will only annoy and break immersion (YOU are afterall Shepard. If Shepard knows what they look like, why not you the player?) Tali fans or not. Why does Bioware need to care what fanartists and fans, rabid ones that is, think anyway? They can create their fanart as long as it is a mystery, good source of creativity, (and I admit I have seen quite good pictures and fanart of her here and there) but if/when Bioware shows the truth then that is canon and will stay canon. If they are not happy about it, then thats their god damn problem. Its not her looks that made me (and majority of Tali fans according to polls) interested in Tali anyway...

Yeah. Most likely Grunt was referring to their suit as it also works as an armor. And it is pretty much part of the Quarian physiology now.

True, personally I would have liked to seen her face myself. But there is a worry, there are enough fan-pics of Tali's face - and what they imagine her to look like. To be honest, if you look closely at certain scenes, she has very attractive symetry (argh my spelling!), aka a nice face.
I just hope Bioware doesn't disappoint if they choose to bring out her face. But then again... Bioware has yet to disappoint me anyway so things aren't too bad.

I think there is one middle road that possibly satisfies all. Base her face on the voice actor. I doubt anyone can complain, except those who want Tali to look like Cthulhu.
*edit* BTW, if you look at Tali's nose, its shape is already very similar to Liz's nose.

My guess is no, unless it's done in a sterile environment. The smallest cut can make Tali sick for weeks...MyChemicalBromance wrote...
So I guess with that hair question semi-resolved, the next item on the table is whether or not Tali shaves.

One would hope that by the future we've figured out hair-removal technology which doesn't involve shaving. If you could figure out how to make a gel which dissolved hair without damaging the skin, you would make a fortune.Relinquished2 wrote...

- they have 3 fingers and birds feet
- the males helmets have a large swept back look much like a birds crest
- they walk in a bird like fashion
- A Quarian in the real world is actually a Parrot
- male quarians have brightly coloured envirosuits and female suits are bland by comparison which is how most cockatiel like birds appear to differentiate male from female in colouring..
I just feel that if Quarians are just humans in a suit i,m going to be disapointed but hopefully in ME3 this question will finally be answered.
P:S its going to be a hoot if they are bird like and everybody just banged a Parrot in ME2 as a love interest

Would be rather amusing if Tali had a beak and/or feathers (rather than hair)...but I suspect that's not how Bioware imagined Quarians. I just hope Bioware can resist the temptation to give them pointy elvish ears.tango jack wrote...
I still think that Quarians are related to birds even if distantly in evolution.

Does strike me as rather odd that if people see a human with only 3 fingers they cringe and wince (I know I have done), but if they see a humanoid alien (not a real one obviously) with 3 fingers, they're like...mmmm hawt. Really I'd have liked to see a species with physiology like the character in the forthcoming movie Splice (google it...and then feel odd). The sort of antelope meets human arms style lower limbs looks far more alien to me than just normal looking legs with odd feet and fewer toes.

True enough, the sight of deformed/mutilated humans possibly causes a reaction of empathy (except in wacko serial killers), as we imagine how we would feel if we were the poor unfortunate. I note however that for me at least, my reaction to the lunatics who go in for extreme bodymodification (though I hesistate to use the word modification...mutilation seems more appropriate) is less empathic (so not cringing at the sight of say flesh staples) than mild interest, perhaps because their deformity/mutiliation is intentional. All of this makes me wonder though how people would react to actually seeing a real alien. When I look at fictitious aliens/monsters, I can often find them interesting or 'cool' in some way rather than scary or repulsive (eg, show me a picture of a spider and I'll get the wiggins. Show me picture of a Rachni or Starship Troopers arachnid and I don't). It's as if, I like the idea of exotic non-human life, as long as it is merely an idea.Multifarious Algorithm wrote...
Human hands don't look right with three fingers, plus they imply injury - painful, injury. Look at the way the 3-fingered characters are designed though - generally the fingers widen to look more naturally integrated into the hand. They also have better symmetry - they're rounder.
I doubt they'll make the Quarian's faces too hideously ugly or alien. There's perhaps a point where if you go beyond it, rather than having an exotic humanoid alien that for some is sexually interesting, you end up with something that edges slightly too far towards making people think of animals (unless you're pretty weird), and let's face it, short of (perhaps) Kelly Chambers...Varren = decent pets, not lovers.

And skin cells - they're all made of keratin, hence the problem with current products. But, they have distinctly different forms when they present - like the different allotropes of carbon. It makes sense though that there must be someway to make an enzyme or something which could attack one but not the other.Vaenier wrote...

Or deactivate (temporarily) the hair follicles. Or something. Look the point is folliculitis isn't fun, laser treatment is marginal, and god damn I hate shaving. Women probably more so.
