I must be evil 'cause I like that song. Got a kick out of watching the video again. :D It's worth it for the bubbly art direction alone. But seriously, it's a happy go lucky feel good song. Sometimes, I just want to feel peppy.

Awww Aqua is good, lol

I'm from the time most cartoon openings had the "mandatory guitar solo". If i went to remember what i watched from 5 to 10 years old, i would point Centurions, Pole position, Thundercats and Jayce and the wheeled warriors.

There's a ton other cartoons i watched, Dungeons & Dragons, Tom & Jerry, Popeye... *walks away rambling*

Edit:  I'm 30

How old are you? I have te feeling we might be about the same age, you and I.

25.

21 here. ^_^

I was a little young when all the good stuff was hot (oldschool NES, Transformers and the awesome 80's cartoons and comics), but I still enjoyed all the good stuff, only a little later. I'm a huge Transformers fan, I used to love Biker Mice from Mars and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The old Zelda cartoons where fun even though they where nothing like the games, and let's not forget about King Arthur and The Knights of Justice! Man, that cartoon had one heck of an opening theme, they don't make them that epic these days,

Good old times.

Hehe... you actually posted the Centurions opening. I find it funny how the narrator describes those guys as experts and specialists of their respective environments, when all you see in the intro is lots of blowing things up. >.<

King Arthur and the Knights of Justice... I used to watch that on sunday mornings. I still remember the episode when they ran into the real knights of the round table encased in giant crystals. I also remember playing through an SNES game based on the series. Whatever happened to cartoons with theme music anyway? You don't see that much anymore outside of anime. :/

Obligatory Jem mention... >.>

The 90s X-Men cartoon was great. :) It's still the only animated incarnation where they gave Jubilee major screen time. I could go back much further than Pokemon. But I'm kinda old compared to many of you. Le sigh.

Now that you mention it... Batman animated series were among the best Batman I have ever seen. Only Moore made better scripts for the character. :)

That one was great. :) The last good Batman series in fact. I didn't touch "The Batman" with a barge pole, and forget Brave and the Bold. Yuck. :(

But the old animated series and his role on Justice League and Justice League Unlimited were very good. I actually have those on my Amazon wish list in hopes some generous relative or friend will buy them for me someday.

I have to admit, I have fond memories of all the cheesy girly cartoons from when I was little. Popples, my little pony, strawberry shortcake, rainbow brite, etc.

They don't make those kind of ridiculously cute little kid shows anymore. I still have the old style stuffed animals and ponies in storage.

Granted, I was born in the 90s. But they were still playing those shows then.(I realize they're technically from the 80s for the most part.)

Same here Nhadalie. Well, I admit My Little Pony wasn't one of my favorites, but I still watched it. I watched just about everything back then, cheesy and girly or not. Some of those shows were better than the "serious" cartoons in my opinion. Then again, some were just... yeah... no further comment. :P

Maybe only Seagloom will get me on this one but when I was a kid I was completely adicted to the "dibus". Even to the point of waking up at 6:00 am on saturdsay so I did not miss any.

I was anywhere between 4 and 7 when I watched those shows. I liked playing with the ponies more than the show. I loved carebears something majorly though. Especially the one movie.

I watched a lot of tv shows when I was really little though. Mom was busy working all the time, and dad had no interest in actually interacting with me. So I have a lot of vague memories of watching a lot of cartoons and movies.

I remember watching ninja turtles stuff too. And my cousin having ninja turtles action figures.

Unfortunately I don't. I missed this one. Probably because I grew up here and spanish programming wasn't nearly as widespread. I had to google it. :o

Would you rather have "Come on Barbie, lets go party" stuck in your head? Because it probably already is by now.

Ah-ah-aww yeah!

Mwhahaha.  Ha.  But then, I love singing along to Aqua anyway, so no big.

That also reminded me: I recently saw a Barbie commercial where they were using the Aqua song (rather, a version of it).  It only took 'em what...almost a decade to realise the connection?  Either way, I cracked up.

That's kind of funny, considering that Mattell sued Aqua over the 'Barbie' song way back in 1997 for 'turning her into a sex object'. I wonder if the commercial-makers saw the irony.

P.S. I think it's a ridiculously fun song, but then again folks say I have bad taste in music. :P

"Dibus" is the shortening for "dibujos animados". :P

I was a bit young to care about video games at that point. So I don't remember that ever existing.

..I'm not even sure what to say to that. Funny stuff though.

Ooh. I also grew up with my grandma playing Zelda on NES all the time until N64 came out, and she eventually upgraded.

I was apparently overly sensitive. Because everytime she got into a big boss fight, I'd run away. Cause I didn't want to see her get killed. Apparently I was too young to understand that a bunch of pixels dying was no big deal.

Oh...*that* game. I played the dumbed down version of it on NES. I didn't really get into arcades until high school. The only time I saw this turtles game was at the theatre. But I preferred the six player X-Men arcade game to it.
