They fixed the Sentinel armor. In fact if you take a look at my character which is a elf mage using the blood mage/arcane warrior mix it's wearing a fixed version of the Sentinel Armor. You just have to download the latest patch while connected to Xbox Live.

Sentinal always worked for evles and dwarfs.  It doesn't work for humans.

actually it DOES work for humans, I equipped the armor and it is the same as Heather Cline's screenshots. Also i was using the disc version on live for the update(s).

I've got the latest patch . . . still looks like my HN is wearing Warden Commander armor with a black helmet.

So, no, it ain't fixed.  And likely never will be.

I did hear that a patch might have been released without any kind of statment.  When was the last time each of you guys downloaded a patch.

I never have.  Been to afraid.

I actually started up a new Origins run yesterday, having not played since WH on wednesday night . . . .and there was an update installed, which I assume was a patch.

Since I'm in Origins, can't tell ya what it did yet, but when I do, I'll let ya know.

I just picked up Vigilance and Sentinel tonight, and they still look like the Warden's Keep items.

Not to be rude, but this is pretty ridiculous. Six months ago they said they were working on a fix, but I have this feeling that we're never going to see one on consoles. It's a pity, too; I've actually lost my enthusiasm for finishing Awakening now, and I was just starting to enjoy it.

Come on, fix it please? I didn't know about this glitch before I started Awakening or I would have taken steps to prevent it. But I am certainly not going to restart because of this - I just won't finish.

They said they couldn't fix it because it's an issue on what Microsoft allows them to patch as part of title updates.

That same anouncment also said that things couldn't be fixed at this time, which leaves some hope for this being fixed.

Strange... Have you tried clearing out your system cache then re-downloading the patch for the xbox version? that might help. that's all i can think of to help you guys. I'm not on the team that created this.

Was the most recent patch supposed to fix it? I havn't downloaded it yet, so I have no idea what it does.

And how does clearing the system cache work.  Consider me an idiot.Image IPB

To clear the cache on the Xbox 360 do the following:
[list][*] Go to the Xbox Dashboard, select the System Blade, and select Memory.
[*] Highlight the HD symbol and press Y.
[*]Select Clear System Cache (This is new, there used to be a "code" you had to enter to do it.)

Yeah the latest patch should fix the armor glitch. I know it did for me. I recently cleared my cache of everything and then re-downloaded the patch. Also another fix for the 360 version could be deleting all downloaded DLC content and then re-downloading it again since you already paid for it you can download it as much as you like.

I hope this helps you guys.

Don't know, I'm on Origins right now, so I'm not getting to the Armor anytime soon.

No you have to completely delete Wardens Keep for the armor and sword skins to work properly in awakening. Most of the patches that are being received are updates for achievements linked to new DLC coming out. If you have ever paid attention to when title updates are received, XB users get them any where from 1 week to the day of the release. No real issues have been fix with the game as far as I can tell by the programming code in the patches.

This is not going to be fixed, one more reason NOT to purchase the expansion.

Apparently. Check around, like the other thread for example.
I honestly think it's bull, and I'm not going to get Dragon Age 2 just out of principle. I'm not going to be sold an incomplete game again.

Worksa8 the patch fixed my problem with the Sentinel Armor. If you look at my avatar she's wearing the Sentinel Armor. In fact my avatar is one of my characters I created for DA:O and ported into DA: Awakenings. So it worked for me, I don't see why it won't work for anyone else.

The Vigilance sword is not fixed. The armor is though from my experience and no my character isn't human, she's elf. And yes I have Wardens Keep DLC still installed.

from dragon age wiki:

The texture of this armor will not be displayed properly if the Warden's Keep DLC is present. Instead of the black and red armor skin, the player will appear to be wearing a set of Warden Commander Armor, from the Warden's Keep DLC. This only happens when the armor is worn by a human, as the armor is displayed correctly on a dwarf or elf character. No patch has been made as of yet. It has also been noted that the Sentinel Helmet is black and red on a human character. This is because there is no Warden Commander's helmet to conflict with.

and another interesting part:

Bioware has officially decided that this bug will not be addressed in future patches, as all effort is being put towards future DLC and the sequel.

There is no fix for this bug, the reason your armor works properly is because you're an elf. The bug is on human characters that wear the armor, the sword for all characters I think unless you uninstall warden's keep. The fix would be too big to be released as a regular patch due to the size restrictions MS has for patches, it could be released as a free dlc, though that's very unlikely since this game is done in terms of any type of fixes most likely. The last dlc has been released, and all efforts are on ME3 and DA2, I think that this game is done as far as they're concerned, I mean it took almost ten months for a real patch, very unlikely we'll see anything else. The only workaround that I've seen involves hex editing the save to switch your character's model to something other than a human (elf, dwarf etc.) to get the armor to show properly although nothing can be done about the sword.
