When you are in the mines, there is a NPC enemy experiment of each of your party members that you must fight. Each experiment is wearing the armor and using the equipment that you or your party members entered the mines with. I recovered my equipment and weapons as well as all party members and recovered the balance of my carried inv from the last chest by the Kunari merchant.



Your game may in fact be bugged but mine was not. All equipment and gear that I eneded Origins with and was taken away in the mines when I was captured is now back in my possession.

My bugs:
1) All statues (both in Amaranthine and in the underground chamber in vigils keep) are extremely hard to click on. In fact the statue in Amaranthine just outside the chantry shows that it is click-able (for the Justice event) however after about 15 minutes of clicking like mad on the statue everywhere I have still not gotten it to trigger. Perhaps make the area which you select for the items a bit bigger.

2) All my Stone Prisoner DLC items transferred over. While I actually like this bug and would rather it is not fixed it shows that your design process was flawed and does not only allowing RtO items over. Additionally, I keep on getting Stone Prisoner DLC item drops (Shale's crystals). I am sure that disabling the DLC should fix this but I think that is a rather hacked fix.

3) My warden keep blood skills are non-functional. Seeing how your design process is already flawed for DLCs it might be best to allow these things to transfer over. Heck a single user was able to get them to transfer over within days of DA:O:A was released so it should not be too much of an issue. Additionally, your faq says the skills should transfer over.

4) Vigilance has the starfang skin. While this does not effect game play it is annoying since the vigilance skin is quite nice. Perhaps if you allowed everything to transfer over properly as suggested above that would fix the issue.

5) In Amaranthine if I do not complete the Shady Characters quest and talk to the bar tender in the in, his quest still shows however is not able to be completed when defending the city.

6) If I take the Shady Characters quest and complete it I am unable to take the Law and Order quest from the NPC even though the icon is still over his head.

7) I am able to complete both the Law and Order and Smuggler's Run quests. Though after the guards do not like me.. even though I killed all the smugglers which might smuggle goods.

8) The Blackblade Armor set (the boots and gloves) do not spawn nor drop.

9) I am unable to complete some (Wade's, the Explosive, there might be more) quests in Virgil Keep after I have gotten Velanna and finished the quest involving the Architect .

10) If you give the dwarf in the keep the lyrium dust and have all three in inventory he takes all three and only gives you one explosive.

11) After a while the game takes increasingly long to load a saved game. Restarting the game seems to fix this issue. I suspect the game is not cleaning up memory properly when loading and artifacts are getting left in memory. That (again I suspect) the game caps at 3.4 gig of RAM, thus users who have more than that of RAM will have trouble troubleshooting this issue. Kinda the same issue that the toolset tool you guys released has.

12) Unable to do the joining quests after I have gotten Justice, only option I have is to deal with the darkspawn.

13) I am unable to detect traps in battle (for the most part).  I get the trap detected message but nothing pops up till after the battle has finished.

14) The pickpocket glitch, once I steal gold I am unable to loot items off characters.

15) General game instability, keeps crashing to desktop on me every now and then.  The first DA:O did not do this to me.

16) I encounter empty loot bodies, and containers.

17) The Shady Character lable is still there even though I killed him.

EDIT 18) The Shady Character does not spawn (with the key I might add) for the Law and Order quest till after I have completed it.  I had to go in through the tavern.

Plenty of bugs to squish here too. This (first playthrough) was with an imported human noble female dual-wielding rogue (lvl 24 at start). All official DLC, plus Pineapple Tree's vibrant colours, Extra Hairstyles and the Alley of Murders quest mod for Origins.

Oghren approval bug - +6 for all gifts, making it almost impossible to get enough approval to trigger his personal quest (have just got enough approval, and am in the middle of trying to save the city from darkspawn, so don't know if I can do his personal quest at this point).

Sigrun and Justice approval bugs - +100 after first conversation with them, but disposition remains at neutral (they were the last two companions I recruited, if that matters)

Personal quest bugs - can't trigger Sigrun or Valenna's at all (V's approval at 80 something) - read earlier it might have something to do with having done the Amaranthine smuggler/guard quests? Also, triggered Justice's quest, but no map marker in the city telling me where Aura is - have been everywhere and can't find her.

The guy who makes the bombs still has a quest marker over his head, but won't talk to me. I completed the quest, but then found some more lyrium sand afterwards which I can't give him.

Bartender in Lion & Crown has plot flag also. I accepted the smuggler quest, but then changed my mind and went with the guards. However, I still have the option to tell the bartender to 'open the passage'. If I do this, quest updates as my having made an enemy of the smugglers, but the guards all talk as though I'm in the pay of the thieves.

Quest to find twisted sylvan wood for the chantry. The final sylvan never spawns. Have been back to wending wood several times, but no joy.

Crash on the way back from Blackmarsh, done as the final area before calling the war council. The cut scene with the Mother plays correctly, then there is sound appropriate to where I'm trying to travel to, but just a black screen. Have to CTRL-ALT-DEL out. After several crashes, I managed to make it to Amaranthine (crashed when I tried to get to Vigil Keep, Wending Woods and Forlorn Cove).

Crash in Amaranthine towards the end of the game. Just as I finish rescuing the guards, some dialogue starts and the game CTDs. Can't get past it, so that's where I'm stuck at the moment.

In case it matters, specs are as follows: Intel i7 975 processor, 2xGTX 295 cards running in quad SLI (195.62 drivers, will try updating them), 12 gb RAM, Win7 64 bit, 1.5 TB HDD with oodles of space. Origins been running largely fine, though on my second playthrough been getting lots of crashes/glitches in Denerim, and even more so since patch 1.03.

After Velenna join your group in Wending Woods and you decide to help her find her sister back. At this point your must choose which party member will accompany you in the mines. Only 2 members can be chosen since Velenna is obligatory for this part of the quest.

The thing is, i went back to Vigil's keep just at this point and then returned to the mines without Velenna. Since Velenna was not part of the party there was no cutscene when i found her sister, but the weird thing is that from that moment on, i found myself with 5 peoples in my party. Yes, Velenna was with us... even though she was not part of the party before entering the mines.

So i could play with a party of 5 instead of 4...weird..
if someone want to see some pics , let me know..

im sure this has been said but its the first time its happened to me, my sentinel armor looks like warden-commander armor, i like the design of the WC armor but after i've already seen what the sentinel armor looks like, im very put off by the bug, it makes me not even want to finish with my warrior because the armor is what prompted me to make a warrior in the first place....its a sad day for me :(

Another one, not completely sure if this is a bug but it's fracking weird so I'm adding it.

When doing the quest to close the tunnels under the Vigil, once the Dwarf has closed the Barrier Door there is a 'Mechanism' on the wall to the right of the door as you face it. If you highlight the Mechanism, the tooltip says something along the lines of 'Right click to rotate Left, Shift+Right click to rotate right'.

Should you click on the Mechanism, the Sergeant will immediately fire her dialogue and ask if you wish to return to the keep. After this has happened, the Mechanism can no longer be clicked.

If, insteasd of clicking the Mechanism, you talk to the Sergeant and return to the Vigil, returning to the Mechanism and clicking it at a later date will teleport the Sergeant and Dwarf back to the Barrier Door, and fire the Sergeant's 'return' dialogue again. Once again, after this the Mechanism cannot be clicked.

Not sure if this is a hold-over from an unfinished quest (maybe it was meant to be how you closed the Barrier Door originally) but it seems worth mentioning.

This. Exactly the same. Makes my head hurt. Just got Sigrun and once she approves of anything it shoots right up to 100 while staying 'neutral' - if this was just a display bug (just as Anders being in "Love" with me) I could live with it, I suppose. But until I have confirmation I'll refrain from playing and keep my savegame before Sigrun approves warm and cozy. :|

Do something, BioWare! Starting to regret my purchase. Judging by this HUGE thread you dropped the ball here. :huh:


+Trying to lower the approval rating via console (tried companion # 1-20) gloriously fails. ("runscript zz_addapproval #1-20 -100". Coincidentally, if I load up an Origin save game it works.

Figured I might not have the right companion ID at hand so I tried some other console commands and none of them worked in Awakening, all of them worked in Origins, though.

Hello everyone! This is my first post on these forums. I just wanted to state the "possible" bugs I have noticed.
First off is the Innkeeper at the Crown and Lion having the arrow above his head and having no corresponding interaction. Nothing Nada nero. I've seen on the posts that this is common.

My second is odd. I thought that It might be due to my new system, only days old, and ive only played Awakening so far. But i doubt it.

I noticed in Kal'Hirol that when My main, A warrior, used Holy Smite, in a certain areas,( such as the undead surprise attack) The game crashed to desktop. I had this happen 3 times. 2 times at that battle, the other I don't recall, but all had the Holy Smite activated. When I got bumped to desktop it said there was a problem with DragonAge and that Windows would look into it.
Ive done 2 and 1/2 playthroughs on DA Origins with no problems with my old system-AMD Athlon 2.08ghz/ 2GB ddr2ram/ GeForce 7600GS.

New system- Intel Core i7-920/ 6GB ddr3 ram/ EVGA GeForce 250 1GB 256 bit DDR3/ windows 7, etc.
I hoped these crashes werent particular to my system, or because of it, and after reading the forums, I am reassured. Thank you all for your time, and THANK YOU Bioware for a great game and (so far) agreater expansion! Keep on expanding DA!

And Yes My imported Character Had the Harvest Festival ring too. Not that I'm complaining, but as previous posts claim, yes, DLC. Plus a gold bar for Zevran, and a Veal Bone for Dog. Thats all I recall TY

I dont know if it makes a difference, but for the Dev,s sake i thought i'd add this. I had anti-aliasingx8 activated during my crashes. I have since disabled it. I'll post if I notice a difference.

I'm experiencing a problem where my characters wearing the Blood Dragon armor no longer have it when I import them - showing them naked in the import screen.

A few bugs I ran into were Justice approval at 100 when I first got him, in the battle with the two dragons in the silverite mine, when they fly upwards combat mode turns off for a second or two and that allows my dead party members to get up which would make the battle easier and I'm not sure if its intended. Also lost my equipment first time I played through the silverite mine, reloaded the save before and that fixed it. In Kal'hirol some of the ghostly dwarf scenes replay over and over if I walk over the trigger area, instead of playing just the once. My Vigilance longsword looks like starfang instead of its original awesome model.

In the smugglers tunnels; after you kill the theives and talk to the smuggler leader; if you reject the next mission you'll recieve 15 sovereigns and XP; if you start the dialogue again you get the same loop and the same reward.  This is unlimited.

just my two cents and experience...   B)

Don't know if this has been mentioned but Awakenings will not keep track of the "strongest foe defeated" for my main PC imported from DAO. All the companions have this data filled in, but no matter what my PC fights it's just blank in the heroic accomplishments page.

Same here, had a Rogue character and drank the red capped green bottle and was never able to use the blood powers in DA:O or DA:O-A.

This repeats for me!  I keep getting 15 Gold and 500 XP (each) for my characters.  It's like a $$ XP cheat!

Same here, it was okay at first and the longer I played the game, the longer the load time became.  This is just my first run through!

I CTD every time I fight the Queen of the Blackmarsh. I read another thread stating that zooming out completely solved the crashing, but it still occurs every time the dragon takes flight.

I was completely unable to purchase either barrier rune tracings or novice barrier runes, both before and after completing the quest, "Trade Must Flow". I was only able to obtain a single novice barrier rune as a random drop during my first 30 minutes of play and that was the only one I encountered throughout the game.

I have a problem with a mysterious 28.1 fatigue rating bare arse naked on my imported character. I noticed I did not have my BP when Awakenings started me out in from of Vigil keep and I wonder if that 28.1 fatigue rating is bugged from my poofed BP? Anyone else have a mystery fatigue rating bug?

I have a few more to add - okay, so people have already stated these, but I think they are worth repeating to keep this thread bumped ..



As I've said before have all DLC, including Warden's Keep. The sword Vigilance and Sentinel armour have the appearance of Starfang and Warden Commander armour. Shame, as Vigilance in particular looked cool ...



Also blood powers gained from Warden's Keep not working, and class description is displayed as 'not found'.



Not sure if this is a bug as such - helm of Honnleath and Cadash Stompers both imported into Awakenings fine.



Some of the dialogue objects are unclickable. I'm thinking mainly of the statue outside the Chantry with Justice in the party. I spent ages trying to find the little speech bubble, but to no avail.

My imported rogue Warden has a cunning score of 44 (with gear 65) and Nathaniel has a cunning score of 35. Nathaniel is capable of spotting traps, where my Warden is not. She is however capable of removing them, as long as he points them out.



The innkeeper in Amaranthin has the plot arrow above his head, but when I select him I don't get a dialogue option. Just a small thing, but it is there.



The game crashes a lot since I installed Awakening, also it does not run smoothly. Sometimes when my team is just walking around the game pauses for a second and then they move again. While walking around it is not a big deal, but during fights it is really annoying.

As many others some gear was gone ...
so problem seems to be ...
if you have too many items in your bag combined with the ones all your chars have ....
also problem with dlc gear.

SHOPS:
Crash if you sell too many runes. NEVER SELL MORE THAN 999 runes to ONE shop. (Now have the fear if I have more than 999 gold it will also break) ... so yes ecomomy is broken, who the hell need 999 menace (hostility) runes :-) ... I think I sold over 2000 to the three traders in Vigil Keep.

Questgiver Vigil Keep:
the one with the bombs ... finished it, but found later one more dust and the marker is once again over his head, but you couldn't talk with him anymore (so you don't get more bombs ... but anyway they are garbage)

Had that too. Weird, but you can't leave the temple even if you haven't completed the quest. I went to a save just after entering the temple and tried to leave and I was stuck. As you say, no world map shows.
