I have a problem with the new expansion.. it seems to be crashing alot- with the message - Dragon age (awakening) has stopped working.. 'Origin' worked fine with my computer but this clashes. I downloaded the new patch 1.03 before loading Awakening what a mistake.. any tips would be great....

Also from the paid content from 'Wardens keep" (origin) the character was able to gain powers through Grey warden Tainted Blood. Imported Character origin to awakening still has Tainted blood power in skill list but when selected the power actually doesnt work.. new patch needed?? 1.03 doesnt fix this

Patch 1.03 + Awakening = "Crash City" :pinched:

Not patching the game before installing DAO: Awakening should not solve anything as Awakening patch the game to 1.03 before installing itself.

For the approval bug I did not have it during my first playground but I have it with Justice in my second one (I haven’t recruited Sigrun or Vellanna yet in this playground). It does not happen only with gift but as soon as I gain approval with Justice so, even if I do not give him anything, I cannot defeat the Baroness (in the real world) without having the +100 approval. Currently I m waiting for a patch (or hotfix) before to fight the Baroness again (as I doubt that installing a patch when the approval is already at 100 will solve anything) so my second playground is blocked.

The final cinematic, when I kill the Matriarch, is looping. I got to read the epilogue, then when I clicked for the last time (after the fate of the commander), the cinematic started playing again, and again, and again... I had to close my session to quit the game.

i dont know if someone mentioned already but at the very beginning of awakening you start on a road between 2 fields



theres a bug when leaving the right field (if you watch toward the keep right side, if you come from the keep left side) it switches to the cutscene in which the talking darkspawn on the roof kicks down the soldier and where you meet the seneschal



so means you skip all the running through vigils keep, meet ohgren and anders etc.



tip: dont go into that field and all is fine

When I talk to Varel to complete 'Defending The Land' there isn't an option to complete it, only 'What is a Seneschal?', 'What can you tell me about Vigil's Keep' and 'Farewell'.

Edit: It seems that you have to talk to Varel as soon as you get the quest, so the bug is the conversation option not staying once the nobles leave. I left it because I wasn't sure what decision to make at the time, now 8 hours later I have an uncompletable quest in my log, which everybody knows is the bane of RPGs.

I don't know if it has already been reported :

There is no paragon dweomer rune tracing in Awakening.

Some said it would appear at Yuliak's stock after third upgrade of Vigil's Keep. But after several games with different choices, all upgrades done, all looted in all the expansion, and whatever, the tracing has never been found by anyone, anywhere, even at merchants. Moreover, people who said that actually never had the tracing, so it's just a false rumor.

I guess devs forgot to implement it.



It would be nice if fixed...

Here's a new bug for me on this playthrough. I'm playing a female human rogue with ranger ability. Somehow during some of the quests in the woods my summoned wolf duplicated and after i left the woods i now have 2 wolfs. I tried to kill them off by putting my part on hold and assume control of one of the wolfs. Ran into a bunch of darkspawn and was watching its health go down. To my surprise the darkspawn started doing 0 damage and the wolf stayed at 1 health.

Very annoying bug, since certain areas are limited to 4 characters in boss fights. So i'm there with one other characters and my 2 (undead) wolfs and my other 2 party members are stuck and not able to join the battle. This happened in the silverite mine boss fight. 2 party members got stuck behind the now locked door for the duration of the battle.

Is there a bug about difficulty settings? I'm not seeing any difference between normal & nightmare (or hard, for that matter) I cheerily slapped the Mum around on my rogue without requiring heals, on nightmare. This seems wrong. Shouldn't she have more health? I'm not sure if this is a bug, but I don't know how to test the matter, either. What is the difference supposed to be?


Oh - and I'm also getting imported characters with high fatigue - which isn't resolved when you remove everything.

I'm not receiving the Specialization point at level 22 in Awakening, for any of my characters. I've tried resetting my skills, still just leaves me with 2 to spend. I've also tried to reinstall Awakening, still nothing. Anyone else having this problem, or have any solution?

1.Memory band disappears when captured by the architect, all other equipment is reclaimed but that ring.
2.Correct ending slide for those of us who romanced morrigan correctly does not play at the end.
3.Skills from wardens keep doesn't work.
4.If you don't do the main quests in a specific order you can't do the joining for velana and sigrun.
5.Velana sidequest doesn't always trigger, have to use the console for some of my playthroughs
6.Very hard/nearly impossible to get oghren approval high enough for sidequest.
7.Sigrun,velana and justice get to 100 approval first gift I give them.

Here's a bug, and quite weird since I encountered it on my second playthrough. After adding Justice to your party, you immediately get a 100 percent rating. It also says "skill added', but that doesn't happen. I don't think it's possiblie to add bonus skills, since you are already at 100



If you don't accept him into the party, you still get a 100 rating notification.



Please fix.

OK I now have the expansion and something I am noticing, my rogue is not picking up traps anymore? now my rogues have the same or more amount of cunning as Nathaniel but he picks them up and I'm not?

Oghren is impossible to get high approval - not sure if it's a bug or meant to be

A lot of walk ways seem to be dodgy - instead of going down a track or something the characters will bolt around in circles

Side quests don't always seem to trigger no matter a high approval.

The female merchant does not always trigger.

There is something dodgy about after you save Sigrun with your character getting placed "under" ground, I noticed I'm not the only one to have this happen after mentioning it else where in the forums.

The trap thing is really annoying though

oops also forgot to mention it seems the dev's forgot to put the rest of the blackblade tunic set in the game, you can only acquire the tunic and helm, the rest of the set is missing from game.

Yeah, I'm getting this too. I haven't had to use a health poultice at all during this game, and it's starting to look like my imported char can't die. For example: when battling the dragon in the Blackmarshes, it went for Justice (most armour) first; Nethanial (next highest armour second); my char 3rd and couldn't hit her. At all. She just kept hitting him, with Anders as back up, until it died. No matter what kind of battle it is: my char can't get hit and can't die. I'm sure most of you are just going to pat me on the head and say "Oooh, the poor baby can't die? Awwww!" in a sarcastic tone of voice, but either this is a bit of a bug or the difficulty settings are just rubbish.

Trap detection is also influenced by the trap-making skill.  If Nathaniel has that one then it might give him a bonus.  There are also certain traps in Origins and Awakening that cannot be detected by the player, because apparently the designer thought it would be great to "ambush" him/her... same thing as with the insta-nukes you get when stepping into certain rooms that wipe out one of your party members automatically.  Sigh.

Killed the Mother...and the final cutscene repeated over and over. Have had several other cutscenes previously go on repeat.



After I got the last character I was locked in to go to Amaranthine. Couldn't have them do their joining, etc.



Main character can't attack enemies sometimes. No reason, not stunned, not disabled. Just won't do anything.



Also, I upgraded Vigil's Keep completely (got the achievement) but it still got destroyed. Then the epilogue text contradicted that, and even itself, saying that Vigil's Keep had to be rebuilt, but then the walls stood until the Darkspawn tide broke on them...but earlier the messenger at Amaranthine told me the news was not good from Vigil's Keep and the world map said "destroyed by darkspawn."

Thread is too long for me to read, and i am not sure if anybody posted about it already but here we go:
After completing the second quest from the chain of Smuggler's Cave in Amaranthine City (clearing the tunnels of the thieves)... You can keep interacting with the Smuggler's Leader in the tunnels, refusing to help with the last task and receive 15 sovereign + experience reward non stop. Talk to leader > ask about last task > say you can't help it > exit dialog > repeat. Infinite money / easy level cap much? :whistle:

Besides that im pissed of, that i spend 80+ hours on DAO and then i loose my best items in the silverite mines, there are some other bugs:



- when Wardens Keep DLC is activated the weapon "Vengeance" is always looking like "Starfang" IF made a Greatsword

- i made several paragon runes, but when i wanted to make Silverite runes, i reakized i couldnt get the Paragon recipe. I didnt mind, so i went to use my several Masterpiece-runes, but in the enchantment menu they dont show up!

-Also: The Enchantress(Ambassador Cera) isnt selling the "Barrier" Runes

I had a weird problem in the endgame. When I got to choose if I'd stay and defend Amaranthine or go to the Vigil and defend that instead, I chose to remain in the city. After the battle there, my codex updated all the codex entries for the characters I left at the keep, and it said that they had all died honorably while defending the keep. Also on the world map, it said that the keep had been destroyed by darkspawn.
Very well, I thought, **** happens. Nothing strange with that so far (except perhaps that I actually had gotten all the upgrades for the keep).

BUT then after the final battle, in the "epilogue" texts, suddenly the keep had repelled the darkspawn, and not at all fallen or been destroyed!! Image IPB

All those companions that, according to my codex, was dead, was not dead any longer in the epilogue. Every single one of them survived according to those texts!!

I believe that's a pretty big mistake (and a FAT immersion breaker!!).

After the very first encounter at Vigils Keep Exterior, no other scripted events are happening. I can walk through the wooden gate and proceed into the keep. After Ohgren blows stuff up I go find him and I have no way to unlock the door near him.

I'm getting this same problem. I've seen video walkthroughs of the Vigil's Keep section, and there are major issues with my version. I get no random encounters with enemies, and because Oghren has no one there to fight, he stays stuck in the "darkspawn killing time" dialog. There's a workaround for this issue, but if there are no encounters in the rest of the game, it's absolutely bloody unplayable.

Mentioned a few times already, Starfang not on me, but thats Wardens Keep, also my Blood Dragon Armor is gone, its part of the Collectors set, not the DLC.



As for the missing armor from DLC? Perhaps an in game, storyboard explanation wouldn't be a farfetched idea? The PC leaves it behind, figuring on not needing it or some such? Having it stolen would be too cliche.

Yeah. Like usual.

I'd love to see that bugs database. You must have like five people working on keeping the bugs database nice and tidy and absolutely zero people actually working on getting them resolved.

I have the aproval bug on justice and sigrun... and the most frustrating silverite mines bug... i aint gona continue playing the game before a solution is found for my equipment...
