In fairness this is not a bug - as has been mentioned about a million times - if you read the FAQ you will see that only a certain amount of the DLC is ported across.Oddball1 wrote...
Let me add this one, I imported my character to Awakenings and lost everything, including the Starfang Sword and my Blood Dragon Armor. I have no reason to play this expansion, if I can't use the armor and weapons I had in the original campaign.
There are many many many many many bugs in both 103 and awakenings, but this is not one of them.

Give me a break, there is no way this is not a bug. This is pure and simple a bug, and I don't appreciate losing everything I've got. There is no excuse for this, as I refuse to play a game where my character winds up naked in the expansion.

It's not a bug. The only DLC items that carry over are from RtO. Check This FAQ, section 2.5

I played for 10 mins last night after
importing a character. I notice the 2nd area was blocked off by a gate.
When I couldn't find any other way through, I decided to ram it, and I
walked right through it like a ghost. I think the gate is supposed to
be open but it's not drawn that way.
Same thing in my game. Odd thing is there are interactable gates just to the right of those ones, and they lead to a dead end. Seems to me the two had their locations switched.

This is indeed not a bug. Most of the DLCs do not carry over to Awakenings as has been discussed in many posts and threads. You will, however, find even better equipment in Awakenings...Bioware devs. have said this, too...

uh and @aries1001 all my gear carried over when i imported, it is supposed to.
The DLC gear is not (except RtO). Do you have any mods installed?

Also, I got bugged with the Silverite mine (still on the city elf). The protagonist didn't get a set of clothes to replace the lost gear, the backpack inventory wasn't taken away, and the PC gear enemy didn't appear. These things didn't happen to my human noble, so maybe there's something that makes my city elf special.

1. My character was moving his arms in a dialog and was stuck like for a long time. (when I wasn't talking to any one, and fighting.)
2. I finished some quest from Wending Wood's. As I finished I went back to Vigil's Keep to turn in "What is Built Endures" and "Heart of the Forest." I can't talk to the NPC to turn these quest's in.
Bioware you need to fix these bugs...

Something i also found out is that Origins load time became excellent with the patch and didnt crash much. Ever since i got Awakining, im crashing like hell and load time is actually longer and similar before the 1.03 patch.

Back to the Torch of Embers for now.
Edit: Wintersbreath is working again now... strange. Maybe it had something to do with swapping it out and back again - who can say.
