Sorry, but while I'm mailing nothing back to anybody, I sure as hell have not bought Awakenings or any other Bioware product (e.g. DLC) since 1.03. I've avoided EA games for nearly a year now, but Bioware was a lone exception. Not anymore.

The last time I talked to him (about 15 minutes into the game), I payed him 50 sovereigns or somesuch to work on the walls "the right way." I'm sort of miffed that I keep running into broken quests, abilities, etc. Awakening is a mess. Where's the patches?

Did you complete the Silverite Mines? Until you do, it won't allow you to activate the quest. Same goes for Wade and the rare materials thing.

-- Instant +100 approval from justice when recruited him. (You can go around this bug by not doing any side quests in Amaranthine. Blight Orphans specially, but to be on safe side I didn't do any of the side quests until I recruited Velanna, Sigrun and Justice.)
-- Sigruns personal quest didn't work since I did the law and order quest before recruiting her.
-- While talking with Architect before going to fight mother I've had those fade to black moments when apparently I'm talking with justice even tho he's not with me.
-- Merchant Liliana just repeats her "Do you remember me!" dialog over and over if you talk to her.
-- I've not noticed any restocking in the merchants at keep even tho I think that should happend when you get more merchants (Armaan and Liliana) to stock the keep.
-- I've had once the silverite mine bug where PC was naked and only equipped inventory got taken and everything else was still there. (Even tho most ppl say it's not mods that cause this it actually was on my case. More specificly I had to move my chargenmorphcfg file from subfolder to main override folder and it fixed it. Go figure.)
-- I couldn't complete Sigruns joining quest when I recruited her last. (I did got it completed by going to keep after killing Lost and doing the joining before she even agrees to do it. Which works, but obviously breaks immersion and results very odd conversation with her after broodmothers are dead and you can actually ask her to join.)

This is operating as designed, not a bug. Rune tracings are "recipes" just like the ones for potions and poisons--they don't appear in your material inventory but all the ones you've acquired are visible if you go into the runecrafting skill window.

Edit: This is the first Awakenings I played with a mod that fixed the Vigilance texture issue (looking like Starfang).

1) Cannot do Ohgren's quest. It may be due to having too few gifts for him -- or points gaining from gifts being too few.
2) Cannot make Justice a Warden. But he is in a Warden's body -- could this be why?
3) Cannot access Avvar Deep Crypt, although I have used the keys on both sides of the door.
4) Game crashes frequently on a better-than-recommended-specs machine.
I hope solutions come soon!

Wow! Those are mostly the exact same bugs I have been hitting in my game. Thanks for the heads up for the work around on some of these. I think I am going to hold off playing it anymore until a patch comes out for it one of these days. Might as well start over then, it doesn't seem like it is very long anyways from what I can tell. Had fun with what I did play at least.

Not being able to find blackblade boots and gloves.
I always had dueling, shadow form, momentum and weak points up, and for some reason momentum, shadow form and weak points kept on getting canceled, making me have to wait for 1 min until i could use momentum again. It happened a lot when i used a lot of stamina, especially after heartseeker.
The ogre kill glitching when my rogue did the finishing move with shadow form activated. One of my shadows killed the ogre while my rogue started killing the air.
In the shadowy crypt the skeletons who are supposed to get up and start attacking you were already standing up. When i approached them they suddenly fell down, stood up again and started attacking.
The max approval of oghren of +6
Yuriah´s wares not upgrading properly
Cup not appearing in first joining ceremony and character arms stuck in the position of recieving the cup. (fixable by switching equipment)
After i killed all the villagers in the revolt two of the guards who were trying to calm the villagers down kept standing in the same spot and kept moving their arms as if the revolt was still going on.
The legs of my character got stuck in fighting position a lot even if there wasn´t a fight. (Fixable by using a talent, but still annoying)
The silverite mines bug.
I did manage to evade the 100 approval bug by first getting all characters and then doing their joining and the blight orphans, chanters board and law and order quests. Still funny to see that both sigrun and velanna asked to join the gray wardens while they already were one.
And i was also wondering if the architect was supposed to not have his mask covering his eyes during the cutscene after the silverite mine.
And the constant dialogue of Anders telling Velanna: Have I ever told you that i find tattoos on women incredibly attractive. It really started to get annoying after hearing it more than ten times.

The bug of the PC rogue not being able to see traps. That actually scared me when i suddenly got a ball of fire on my screen, not knowing where it came from since there were no enemies, then noticing i had just walked into a tripwire without spotting it.

- frequent combat lagging (ok, it's not a bug, but it's a SERIOUS game breaker. In fact, I had a huge moral dilemma whether to keep playing or not, in the end I did solely because I was curious how the story develops, but the combat was nowhere near enjoyable. It would often take more than 10 seconds between a spell/hit animation and it's actual effect. In a fight system where timing is crucial, this makes it unplayable, hence me stressing this point so much. Also, it was not uncommon for orders given to my party to just 'disappear', without being carried out.)
- Lilith appeared in the Keep although I haven't saved her yet. I wouldn't mind so much, but it broke two quests (the one from madam Woolsey - 60g loss - and one from Wade, since for one unique item he makes I need a Grandmaster lightning rune which is obtainable only after Lilith adds new items to the stock of the Keep's merchants). Tried going from location to location for about an hour, but of course I didn't encounter her on the world map.
- The killing of the Mother animation keeps looping after the "happily ever after" text sequence. Had to terminate the whole system process. Now I don't really feel like I properly finished the game :-(
- couldn't find Hirol's breastplate
- couldn't initiate conversation with Oghren to finish his personal quest (his approval was way over 70, that's way enough, right?)
- And, of course, since I went to Knotwood hills last, I couldn't hold Sigrun's joining.
That's all I can think of. I must say, I am really disappointed... Such an unfinished and poorly tested product released, and so far no announcements of a patch. I guess I'll have to think twice about buying something from Bioware or even EA next time...

Had the same weird cutscene problem, but I am also encountering a problem where Velanna, the elf that confronts the player, and is part of the "Trade Troubles" quest, fails to appear ever again on the map. This prevents the game from advancing, because the Silverite Mine will not open until that quest is advanced beyond meeting Velanna. This effectively appears to end the game, and seems to be a major bug.

I got the book for Dragon Age Awakening and it said that Backpacks would be in the inventory of merchants, not a one of them have any at all.

If you sold 'em to Herren, his store resets constantly, so that might be what happened.

Speaking of bugs..I finally encountered that Silverite mines bug. Clued in that it was the Harvest ring from the Shale expac, plus the Key to the City..combo. Experimented with it...(saw my character in the prison ...etc with all potions still showing in the hotbar) ...reloaded. Changed rings with Ohgren...saved. Went back in, and everything worked properly. I think this is the first time I have seen the screen go black when the Architect talks to you..which is what clued me in that the silverite mines bug was going to happen.
But workaround is...reload change jewellry out with another companion (don't leave in inventory just in case) save and continue on ..you shouldn't lose anything from there on.

You can't talk to him further until you have completed Wending Woods. I have experimented with this..and he won't talk to me til I am done with Wending Woods and the Silverite mine completely. After he'll talk. Same with Wade, even if you have the Heartwood for him, he won't talk to you until Wending Woods and Silverite mine are complete.

The thing is that I played awakening ok, without any problem with a normal character.
But then, I made another character and played it with mods (silly mods, like new hair, clothes and stuff) and with this character I have a strange bug in awakening in which the npcs start with about 130 character points and no skills list available, and only two spells to choose. This is crazy!
I erased all mods in my the core/packages folder but it still not working.
What is happening?

Escaping from prison without any equipment I noticed that my character takes about 8-9 damage per hit at most.
Even though his dex is quite high for a dual-wielding warrior, this can't really be right I'm thinking. Anyone know if the import function of ones character is bugged? No point finishing Awakening with an immortal character really.
If there is a known bug with the import function, does anyone then know if I can get rid of it by starting a new game important the same character again (and basically just keep trying until he takes the correct amount of damage).
If there is no bug, could it then be that since the character is lvl 27, the area just doesn't scale as well as in Origins?
