There's very little discussion on the game yet, as it just came out, and yet ppl. do seem to be running into both of these invisible walls.


People are running into the walls, but people are also discussing how they beat the expansion (?) already and crashed during the ending sequence, or something to that effect. Meaning that they were able to bypass the invisible walls, which is why I originally thought it was a problem on my end. That is apparently not the case.

Here are the biggest bugs I came across:



I had an unusual experience with Unending Flurry. Whenever I used it on a ranked opponent, elite or higher, it had a chance of causing the enemy model to mirror the attacks of my rogue. In other words, when I would use the ability, the enemy I attacked would crouch down and start stabbing in the air too. They still took damage and died, it just looked odd. It happened on ogres too. And, the very last armored ogre in the campaign, which I killed using Unending Flurry while he was grabbing and punching Justice, kept repeating the grabbing animation even though dead and Justice was charging towards another enemy. The ogre model leaned over on it's side, but kept punching away at nothing until it, thankfully, disappeared.



In the Wending Woods, when I neared the bridge to cross over to the other side I clicked to check on a chest nearby and I was transported to the ruined elven camp site via a cutscene. When I walked back around to the bridge from the east side, I saw a guard and an elf loafing around beside the road, then I got to the bridge, and the first cutscene with Velanna began.



At the end of the campaign, after defeating Mother and reading all the plot conclusions, the cutscene for killing Mother repeated. Skipping the cutscene just triggered the cutscene to start again, so I was stuck in a loop.

I also have this bug. Wade have quest icon appear over his head but when i speak to him nothing happen. The same goes to stonemason dwarf guy too.

most powerful creautre that my hero character kill is also blank even i kill a lot of enemy.

My hero's rally skill is not working too. During the first attack on vigil keep, it's still useable but after Mhiri joining i can't select rally skill at all. The skill's icon is activated but rally skill effect is not show at all in character bonus or aura effect in the map. Neither of them show. I try to reactived by using a manual of focus and this time the rally's icon is not highlight so i select it but i can't activated it. Look like my hero can't do anything with rally skill at all but Oghen can still use rally skill. I didn't get Justice yet so i don't know that whatever ha can use rally or not. If this bug don't get fixed than champion specilization is useless which will sadden me since it is my favourite specialization.

Look like i have to play another game until patche is out even i want to play awakening more than other game.        I hope when the new patch come out it will fix all this bug

I am sorry  if my english is bad since it's not my native language.

p.s.my game version is pc dvd and my character is import from origin at level 23.

I got to a point were everything was dead but two trees ants. And they wouldn't move. The mine was still locked and the Vellana cut scene would not engage. I did all the other quests. I think not going straight to the ledge near the trees something glitched. I went straight down and around the structure after talking to the infected guy. Did the puzzle and the two brothers quests then I could run past those two ents all i wanted but she never showed up for the 2nd meeting. I had to restart the level and go there right after talking to the Infected guy for the second meeting with the mage to work.

Spoilers in some of these bugs:

1. Enemies standing around without attacking. No way to interact with them. Seems most common with the blight werewolves in blackmarsh.

2. Upon completing the quest to stop the smugglers in Amaranthine, the guard captain simply says "I have nothing to say to you". The quest marker remains over his head, and there is no apparent way to complete the quest.

3. By far the worst, most annoying bug: Upon defeating the Mother, the movie of the mother's death simply plays over, and over, and over. The rest of the ending cannot be viewed, it just goes back to the Mother thrashing around and shows her getting killed again.

4. The blood powers from Warden's Keep no longer work. They show up under the skill list, labeled "class not found". The individual powers have no description.

5. Following the peasant riot, there is a conversation with the guard captain that seems out of place. Also, the camera does not focus on the guard captain during this conversation, just on a nearby wall with some graphic glitching.

I have the Steam version of both DA:O and DA:A, on PC. My character was imported from DA:A as a rogue.

Two itty bitty things: When Justice joined my party, I got 100 insta-approval. Which is kind of annoying, as I have all of Kristoff's stuff and no one to give it to! D:



Also, at first my codex was severely out-of-whack: the entries were only showing one codex entry per row of six, and the numbers on the entries increased accordingly. It got better after the first time I saved and reloaded from that hard save.



A few crashes, but I'm on a laptop, so I'm not going to bother there.



I don't mind that the DLC stuff isn't there (well, except for the part where I paid for it, so wait, I DO mind!) but could you at least make it go away clean? My Warden Blood Power abilities are ghosting. It's wicked odd.

I've had the cutscenes repeat up to three times before I can "move on."  Seems to be at random.....

Also, i've noticed that after dialog with an NPC or other character, it appears to "hang" for about 10 seconds before giving me control of my character back.  I keep waiting for someone to say something but they dont.....

I also had some Hurlocks and Genlocks spawn during a cutscene conversation.  The characters are talking like normal...and the darkspawn just stand there like they are part of the conversation.  It's actually quite funny :)

Also, the bartender in the bar at Amaranthine has a quest icon over his head, but when I click him, it doesnt do anything.  He just says a generic phrase such as, "Good luck out there" (or  something like that)

I can imagine that other unofficial dlc's that people have made for DA:O can cause problems in DA:A, perhaps disable all other dlc's except official ones before playing. If that's the case it can be hell to track down all the bugs that pops up in DA:A due to dlc's.

Encountered a bug where my shield (Duncan's from Origins) keeps getting replaced (visually) by an arrow quiver. When I unequip/re-equip the shield, it looks fine again, but it isn't lasting long... after a dialogue it seems to be replaced by the quiver again. When doing moves with the shield the Warden's hand just looks empty. Tested it with one random trash shield and result was the same.

Same here.

Other severe bugs:
-All Companion skill pages are empty, and they don't have skills.
-Companions can't learn spells&talents.

Makes it kind of difficult  to play ... :pinched:

Edit: Just reinstalled DAO:A, now the companions can learn talents, but the skill still aren't working....

For me, I'm missing achievements names, and some items don't have tier data, instead of showing up as (Volcanic) for example they show up as just ().

My issues with the quests resolved once I finished the Wending Woods/Silverite Mines sections. I had no issues with the Silverite Mines. I play with no mods.

It's getting VERY irritating. This thing crashes all the time. I gave up on that wraith with the Ogre thing. Not sure what was up with that.

Oh, and Anders is shooting his staff with it still on his back, I tried disarming and rearming, to no avail. Makes me laugh at least.

man i really love this dlc, its so far one of the best but i cant seem to go any further than activating some crystals and getting transported into negative space and i cant tell whats going on, i fall all the way to a chasm and i have reloaded 3 times already, so can i not finish the game? its when im one my way to the mothers lair

Oh, and I'm not sure if this is a bug, but I started a Orlesian mage, and Anders says he recognizes me from the circle, um, ok. From what I gather I would not have been part of the circle tower in Ferelden, right?

I have the companion joining ritual bug, where the last person to take the joining the quest will be bug as Varel only let you proceed to the war with darkspawn and the joining quest still active, after the battle Varel is dead and the quest is still there

I completely agree.  I'm in software and when triaging bugs I've often wished I could resolve them "By Bad Design"  One play thru of Dragon Age takes me about 90 hours.  I've played thru twice thus far.  To invest that much time in the game to suddenly find my best bow ripped from my character's hands is not a smart decision on the part of those who created this expansion.

I also did not get my protagonist's gear back in the Wending Wood, and had my entire backpack available for the whole location. Also a city elf, for what it's worth.

I, uh, I seem to be having some problems with health potions not working in combat, which is rather dangerous as my character goes after the stronger enemies. If the mage is too busy fending off other enemies, well, then I'm in a pinch. Outside of combat there's no problem though.
