When going around the forest doing quests, it seems I can't actually speak to Valenna in either her tent, or even though her figure is standing on a hill beside the tent. Simply not reaction. Could be because the scene where you talk with the ghoul-guy happens twice in a row before the Darkspawn say hello...

My only problem is that Velanna can't join the Wardens. When I tried to talk to Varel, he says that the nobles has something important to tell you(It's near end game). And The sentinel armor! The helmet looks normal but the armor set looks like the armor from "Wardens Keep". That's the only two bugs I've came across.

dont know if its been mentioned on here before but the sentiel armour for humans is bugged out, it doesnt appear as it should on then like it does on dwarfs and elfs, it just appears as the warden commander armour on soldiers peak.

Just got my first crash. Fighting the inferno golem (and winning dammit) it just CTD. Didn't have any crashes with DAO and played DAA for 5 hours yesterday before it started to slow, so it might be a memory problem, but I'm not convinced.

But seriously, though. I understand that the devs no doubt had their reasons for the choice, but from my standpoint as an avid fan of the first game it is a little bit of a buzzkill. Watching the first sequence with my awesomely epic archdemon-slaying macho man strolling through rainy Amaranthine (almost) as nekkid as the day he was born and then having to turn the first fight into a half-naked fisticuffs brawl (okay that bit was sort of amusing in its own right) isn't really conducive to starting you off in the proper mood.
And sure, I've no doubt you can acquire better gear. But is it really necessary to hamstring the people who happened to choose to use something from a DLC? I mean.. Didn't these same people pay for those DLC's (well, some of) only to now be denied use of content from them?
For my own part for example I stuck with the Warden Commander armour throughout much of the whole game even after finding arguably better ones (Juggernaut set comes to mind) later, because I thought it looked sweet as all that and fit the role of the character like a glove "fluff-wise". So it's kind of measly to suddenly find myself bereft of it.
Ultimately and overall perhaps not a huge deal to get hung up on, as I've no doubt the expansion will be enjoyable.. But like I said, it is rather a pity to start everything off on a note of irritation and disappointment on what should be a journey of undiluted awesomeness deeper into Thedas.
And since it is stated to be by design, might one be so cheeky as to ask why perhaps? It's still a bit of a bummer but an explanation might help to soothe some ruffled feathers, better at least than just the wet towel slap in the face and the unenlightening knowledge that "we did it on purpose." xD

Also on a wholly unrelated note, after patching to 1.03 and installing Awakenings I reloaded my "Post-Coronation" save from the end of the game with the character I intended to transfer over, and noticed that Shale no longer looked like Shale so much as.. I don't know. The Paragon-turned-Golem fella from the Anvil of the Void quest line, except run through a metal scrapper?
Rather weird to say the least.
When I load a different savegame (with a different character) from earlier in the story, Shale looks just fine though. ^.~

I need another rogue to do that for me. 1 of the most important reasons for me to play as a rogue was this

Not sure if this is listed and the thread is too long to go thru but, when in the Fade when I use the Ethereal Stamina Draught the Fade only Stamina potion the text above my chars head says "RXA230 Anselem's Reef" My character is a rogue. I can link to a screenshot if needed.

Upon meeting Colbert in Amaranthine for the first time, I was able to offer him a sovereign. The only problem was that I had less than that in my inventory at the time and it ended up giving me negative money. When I tried to sell items, it only gave me more negative money. I had to reload a previous save.

Shadow Specialization - Decoy - Nathaniel Howe
Using Decoy on Nathaniel spawns an Animated Dead skeleton which stands around briefly (Apparently it's the model for the 'decoy', unsure if this is intended or not).

Here is what I have encountered:
1. Constant CTDs. Sometimes it happens after 10 minutes, other times after an hour (ie. it seems random). Sometimes it goes directly to desktop and other times a dialog window pops up with an "ok" button.
2. Maybe related to the previous, but Mana Clash sometimes seems to crash the game. It is not the only culprit, however, as the game also crashes when Mana Clash isn't being used (I even tested this hypothesis by not having any mage with me for a while).
3. In conversations the screen sometimes (but quite rarely) turns black with no sound, and then after a few seconds it goes back to normal and the conversation continues. It is not a biggie, but it can be a little annoying not getting all the conversation... especially when it's with Oghren
4. I could not find the PC's items anywhere, after being captured by the Architect. All my best gear gone! Buhuu
5. Warden's Keep ability icons are there but do not work.
6. Animate Dead spell does not work.
7. After combat the character sometimes does not sheath his/her weapon. When walking around with the character it looks like it has something stuck up its butt, lol. It goes away when you go to another map.

This is all on the PC version for clarification.

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but the High Dragon at Dragonbone Wastes doesn't drop anything. I've gone so far as to pull the other mobs in the area away to isolate the dragon when it lands (could be a bug involving the other mobs 'tagging' it?), and still nothing, which leads me to believe this is an even stupider mistake than I would have thought. C'mon, guys, you say you're going to QA your content more after the RtO debacle, and we have huge boss mobs that are supposed to drop things (namely half of the Blackblade armor set) remain unlootable? How in the hell did your QA miss that?

At first I tried to just grit my teeth and deal with them while constantly quicksaving because I love the DA:O so much, but I was fighting The Baroness earlier and had it crash over halfway through the fight, which meant almost 10 minutes of tense, strategical fighting went poof. I'm just not going to deal with that - not from a BioWare product. I really wish they had waited at least another month or so to iron the bugs out because it simply wasn't ready.
I played DA:O flawlessly and without a hitch, and my rig crushes the recommended specs. Then 1.03 arrives and this starts happening. Here's to getting a fix soon.

grrr. got hit with the mine bug, after i got tier 9 gear for my mage. i have no mods. all the gear i had on was from the expansion. i awoke naked, but had all my inventory, and the chest at the end was empty, and only 3 experiments spawned. i have no saves that will help, totally game breaking.

i have the problem of when i install awakening i can no longer use any of my skills at all... only the mage can use certain spells, i cant activate any stances, i cant use consumables, i cant use any attack skills. plz help me

Just wanted to post a temporary work around if someone hasn't done it yet (sorry, don't want to pour through the pages to find someone else doing it) but the silverite mine armor lost can sort of be bypassed IF you have one of each piece of gear to replace those slots (you should have found at least one of each along the way in the woods.) oddly enough, when I do this, the 4th experimental shows up
but when I don't do this it never shows up. I tested this 10 times, different gear, doesn't really seem to matter what you had previously (regardless of dlc armor equipped)
Also from what I've noticed, if your gear is taken from your body, I am either fully naked or wearing clothing, doesn't seem to alter whether your inventory or specific gear was taken, though it's a slightly annoying bug to have happen during those 10 times running through (Oghren stop staring at my girl's ****

this really does seam rushed.i havent had that many things go wrong in my game.but if its your first time playing this might put people off a remarkable game.heres hoping it gets sorted out soon
