OK, I found the boots, gloves and helm.

I looked through the whole area a few times and could not find the breastplate. Anyone able to tell me where it is? Is it in one of the locked crates, possibly? I know I hate a rogue without hte lockpicking skills through part of this area, so if it is one of those, I'll have to go through with my other rogue.

For anyone wondering, it is in the Main hall. If you are in the area where there's a barrier and a dwarf ghost giving an inspirational speech to many other dwarf ghosts, go up the stairs. there is a small room to the right that I missed the first time, it is in there.

Hairsplitter (axe)

Kallak (sword)

Valos Atredum (mace)

Greaves of Hirol's Defense

Breastplate of Hirol's Defense

Gloves you get by solving rune puzzle.

Helmet you find at the end of the trade area. There will be a fork in the path. One way you can see stairs, the other way you go into a bunch of darkspawn gunk and it leads to an exit to the hills and the lower reaches. Go up the stairs and you will see a bunch of containers. The helm is in one of them.

Armor you find "damaged"  I forget where.  Once you get it, go to the forge and there will be a golem with an anvil.  Use the anvil, and loot it, the armor will be there.

Okay, no idea where the gloves are, i've searched the map 4 times and have found zero evidence of a rune puzzle?

its the Southeast corner of the map in the trade quarter its called "Tomb" on the X for the map

Was there a codex entry that gave a hint on how to do the rune puzzle or are we just supposed to figure it out?

You're supposed to just figure it out. I agonized over it for a short bit, but turns out it was actually rather simple. Also, for folks having trouble locating things, remember there's always that spiffy lil Tab button that highlights all the usable items in an area, like lootable objects and switches and whatnot.

I never did the rune puzzle, I had the set minus the gloves!

What's the trick for that puzzle? I don't think I bothered with it lol.

Rune puzzle pretty simple click a rune on the ground then find the matching rune on one of the statues and click the rune below the statue this will move the rune you clicked first to that spot. Once you have all the statues matched up with their runes the tomb opens.

am still looking for the breastplate as well and was already worrying I had accidentally destroyed it for some reason.

Found Kallak on my first play through and haven't been able to find it since.

all you need to do is explore every corner!



with double haste, my character ran so fast i have to "nerf" her by moving in sneak. even in sneak,

i will often rerun the whole map 3 times holding space bar to ensure i dont miss out anything >=)

For the breastplate at the main hall where the man is rallying the castless go right up the stairs and as soon as you get up the stairs go right again into a small room the breastplate is in the "Pile of bones" on the chunk of rock

To find Kallak and Partha: in the trade quarter - the central room with the large caged-in center (Lyrium particles rising out of it - adorned with large masks) - on the south side of that room a passage leads to stairs down into a room with a memorial tablet and the remains of Dailan.
