Is there any sublte changes in how Delilah responds if your a HNM?
That's a good question. I had a HNF and she didn't even seem to realize I was there. Was very polite, though, and made sure to talk about how evil Howe was.
I didn't want to like Nathaniel when I first met him but when he started talking about how his family were just victims of being on the losing side of politics and how the Couslands deserved it for being traitors trying to sell Ferelden out to the Orlesians...I guess that would offend some people, but I just took it to mean he had no idea what was going on and lashing out at having lost everything. His situation is kind of like a less extreme version of what happened to the Couslands in DA.
He didn't seem to remember that it was his family who only joined Maric at the last second and he certainly didn't see to be aware that the attack on the Couslands happened before Ostagar which was before the Civil War. Since he's so obviously misinformed, how can you possibly hold his antipathy towards the person he views as taking away everything his family had (more or less correctly as they exposed Howe's crimes)? He does, notably, get over it far sooner than I expected.

He's going to be hung when I play my Cousland. Family for a family.
Which is exactly the sort of thing he complains about...his entire family being held accountable for the things his father did, regardless of what good they've done in the past or may do in the future.
He wasn't even in the damn country at the time.

Still Oghren and Valenna remain my favorites.

It was along the lines of "some of my best friends have tried to kill me"
I squee'd.

I loved the option to reply to his barb about enjoying having companions that tried to kill them.

Lol I choose that 1 myself and it seemed like he didn't know what to think.

And it would have been all Alistair's fault for abandoning me! After everything we'd been through too!

His sister is a queen B towards you...*spoilers*well talks crap about you before she realizes you're the one she badmouths too.
That's strange, she didn't say anything bad about my HNF.

That's because Rendon didn't pressure her to marry your HNF.
If it's a HNM, she says she didn't want to marry the "arrogant" Cousland boy (or somethign to that effect).

If any of these Companions had been romanceable, he would have been my choice.
Ditto.
Instead, I'll have to add him to my ever-growing list of BioWare men that I wanted to romance, but couldn't.
Canderous, Bao-Dur, Loghain, Teagan, Zaeed, etc...
Why do you hate me, BioWare?

Heh, I expected to find one or two blistering threads on the recycling of Bann Sexy's VA for a much less god-like role.goofygoff wrote...

I recognized several of the VAs, but he's the only one that gave me a gut reaction. The voice just screams TEAAAGAAAN!

Oddly enough, I was fair and honest with him and already have him at moderate cunning. Seriously, he is in a situation any of us would be ****ing about and we would probably **** harder. Cut the kid some slack. He had a false view of his father and is being eased into the truth. As for his sister, eh, I said I was standing right there and got a good laugh from her reaction.
They talked and he learned the truth, so far, he just has to deal with it and let it grow on him. You know, like any human would have to...
Anders is a smartass, Oghren is a hilarious drunk, Howe is a guy coming to grips with a new paradigm vastly different from his own. Or you could just say emo kid and whitewash a complex character, I suppose that works too.
Though by all means, hang a lockpicker. XD
... I still can't stand him. The only reason he comes along at all is because he's useful at the moment. The instant that he's not, he gets murdered. BioWare knew what they were doing because if he had been another warrior, or mage, he's dead.
And so far, I haven't come across anything in the locked chests that would be that really beneficial. Although, I'm only 5 or 6 hours into it.
