Alistair and Wynne only have their small cameos and do not show up later unfortunately. It did not even mention Wynne in the epilogue (that I recall).

Alistair only got a small blurb in the epilogue concerning him and my PC.

The only person to mention anything about my character being queen was Anders when he asked what I would do if I did not have to be the GW Commander in which one of the responses is "I would return to court, of course."

Okay just now got a chance to get to play Awakenings. I am his queen and I get just a kiss on the cheek? To bad I did not get the dialogue option to kiss him right in front of everyone. It is really cute in DAO when he gets a bit embarssed about having and audience. At least he asks me if I am all right and that he would rather have me back at his side in his sneaky naughty little way. If I had my way we would be hitting the nearest building and wrestling between the sheets since I may or may not return. Oh well, will still dearly miss having him with me on journeys but these new characters should be interesting.

Wow, my game must be a bit bugged because I had that convo last night and had no option to say that.  I was a little discombobulated about how to answer.  "Uh... be queen?  You know, because I'm queen?  News to you, apparently?"  LOL

Alistair and my HNF are tied up, her closest advisor Zevran is taking care of personal business, HNF sent Eamon away to become chancellor herself so he's in Redcliffe, Wynne is flitting off to some conference...  apparently Sergeant Kylon is the only one taking care of things back in Denerim and is thus the de facto ruler of the kingdom.  That brilliant bastard really IS the smartest man in the game!!

But as you said most of us are queens (that didn't sound right). The only thing you get the Senschel says you have the same power as an Arlessa. I imported Queen, Chancellor, Lover & Cousland. Also imported Mistress/Chencellor they all refer to you as commander.

Aye, Arlessa of Amaranthine is a bit of a step down for Lady Cousland who might also be princess-consort and even Teyrna of Gwaren or chancellor of the realm.  I guess you could consider it adding a title to the long list.

@galesong1234 and Addai67 - The more I thought about the more I realized how many titles we ended up with in the expansion. Queen, Commander and Arlessa. I'm sure my character's head would fall off trying to balance all that.

I wonder if the Wardens at Weishaupt approve of that. And here I was worried making a Grey Warden king would be dodgy but as his dear wife and Warden Commander I can collect new titles like ... stamps. Queen of Ferelden, Teyrna of Gwaren, Arlessa of Amaranthine - and when she disappears later on maybe Emperess of Orlais? ^^

My HNF could give a damn what Weisshaupt thinks, but she's not a terribly devoted GW.  Saving Amaranthine is fine, however, since it concerns Ferelden.

Actually, I think Eamon is Chancellor in Awakening, since Alistair mentions him in a "I'd love to do what I want but....Eamon. Yeah." kind of way. That made me slightly furious, as booting Eamon is the sole reason I have my queens become Chancellor.

Hm, I ran that again last night (because my 1st time through I picked the least squee-worthy prompts and that just couldn't be) and I didn't notice him say anything about Eamon.

If you ask him if he plans on joining you, he says something like "Don't even tempt me...Eamon would have a heart attack."

Heh, he said that to my warden who was chancellor as well. Alistair was unhardened so I figured that was why. Otherwise, business at court would grind to a halt! Ah well. It is what it is, and obviously we as fans took those slides a lot more seriously than was expected.

*grin* I think NO one expected how much people would end up loving their favorite characters! Even if no other game is ever like DA:O again, I'm glad at least it existed. Talk about a wonderful game!

This made me laugh WAY too loudly.

@ejoslin: Before Awakening came out, I pretty much started viewing the epilogues as being endings for those who would only ever play Origins and that they wouldn't matter at all to future expansions/sequels. Still, I wish that there had been something carried on besides "Killed the archdemon and married to/boffing the king (or queen)".

Ok, I know this really isn't the thread but did anyone have Alistair act snarky with them. I saved Loghain, so I assumed he would be. When he greeted me he and said his "At least the hero of Ferelden survived" One of my choices was. "Don't look so disappointed." Which I picked and he said "Oh I am sure I'll somehow manage" (something like that, very snarky) Was that a choice for anyone else?

I got that one and it bugged me.  It was one of my mage playthroughs and I did not save Loghain at the end.  It was one where Alistair dumped my magical booty after I made him King.  So it kind of surprised me that I got snotty Alistair in return.

I even found it odd that my character bowed to Alistair. I could see that before they're married, but I'm the queen, dammit! Let everyone else get down on one knee... while they're bowing with heads lowered is the perfect opportunity for an Orlesian kiss with the lord husband!

I found it werid too that I was bowing to him even though i was queen (game glitch I know but still pretending is half the fun) but am so not the subserviant woman. Was glad to see that he was his loving concerned self asking if I am all right and that he would rather have me with him at court in his own naughty little way.
However upon leaving all I get is a kiss on the cheek or whisper or whatever it was?! I thought I had taught him better than that.  Too bad you don’t get the option of kissing him right in front of everyone just to embarrass the crap out of him like you can in DAO. It is the least he deserves or better yet I would much rather be hauling him off by ear for a bit of ravishing in the nearest bed. He can’t really protest when you tend to be the dominate one in bed.

But I guess that will just have to wait till the end when I can “punish” him properly in the bedroom.  Don't normally got this route but first time for everything. Now should I use restraints or a whip on him for merciless teasing? Oh delicious decisions, decisions……..Wonder how it will be before he can walk properly.......Image IPB

It's funny, because I think I detected an honest to goodness happy expression on my PC's face during his little send-off. Maybe she was, like me, swooning over how he managed to make the word "interesting" sound so absolutely filthy.

I've heard that the mistress interaction is very similar to the wife interaction, though. I thought I was importing a mistress save on my HN, but it was an emergency back-up queen ending.

I noticed that too. Somehow Alistair has the perfect knack of making the simplest expression or word naughty and nasty. Image IPB   Gives my character that extra thrill of  her wanting to point and say "You in bedroom and naked now!"

A little salt in the wounds, eh?  Ouch.  Image IPB

My sadistic side loves snarky Alistair (I almost always spare Loghain), so I'm actually looking forward to this on my next playthrough.

Salt in the wounds, indeed. Made me remember why I wanted to throw my controller at the TV.

That being said, I do love me some Alistair (even if I am more of a Zevran, Loghain, Teagan and now Nathaniel gal).  Though it does make me not the least bit sad that I gave him poison ivy crotch in a fanfic I'm writing :P  Be snarky with me?  How about some itchy scrotum, Mr. Poncy King-boy?

*cough*

Seriously, I'm wondering if it was bugged or not.  Or if it's supposed to be him wishing you weren't around because it's so hard to get over your and what not?  One of those wah, wah, wah things on his part.  I did not marry him to Anora in this particular playthrough.   I'd be interested to hear what others see.

YES THIS.
I hate Eamon.  This only furthers my hate because it means I'm expendable where Alistair is not.  Even though I get where he's coming from (and the metagaming/writing reasons behind it) it still pisses me off.  I can almost see Eamon doing something like "You run along now and save Amaranthine *pat*pat*"

The chancellor ending sure makes it sound like you stay at court... wouldn't it have made more sense to send Nameless Orlesian Warden to Amaranthine to check things out.  Oops, there's that meta-nonesnse again that gives us Zombie Wardens and Eamon being at court when he clearly isn't.

Our best responce in awakenings (if we picked we were staying on at Denerim) would be last responce...something like "I wasn't planning on leaving."

So, three forths into Awakenings. Been knocked out and abducted a couple of times.  Wonder what they might have done to me during that time.  I've been risking life and limb while my husband, the kings, is settling a couple of disputes.

All I can think while I'm doing this missions. 1st, you should be here with me and 2nd you are so going to be in trouble for leaving me to handle this alone.Image IPB

Yea I am not a big fan of Eamon either.  He is a quintessential politician, not a particularly nice guy.  I hated how he just jumped on Alistair the king idea and ran roughshod over Al with it.  This after telling the poor boy that he was basically an afterthought in the world, not in line to the throne, get it out of his head.  And after letting that **** Isolde torture the poor boy with her insecurities and THEN sending him to the Chantry knowing he hated it.

I thought it was rather telling the ONLY one who seems genuinely happy in the family to see Alistair is Bann Teagan.  (This having nothing to do with them helping Redcliffe, he just seems incredibly happy Al is alright after hearing about what happened at Ostagar).  Would have been nice if Eamon had said something similar but we don't get that we just get his wheeling and dealing to convince Alistair that now he has some worth beyond the Gray Wardens.

I get that it also is an attempt to save Alistair's life to put him on the throne but I don't know if Eamon cares enough for that to be a primary consideration.  When Loghain points the finger of blame at him saying he's grasping at the throne (I always giggle and say out loud "pot meet kettle") there is a gem of truth in it I think.
