I used lyrium to save connor, but both codex entries say Isolde died - while she's obviously still alive.

Same here. After killing the demon in the fade, the game skipped straight to a cutscene in Redcliffe where the townspeople were burning the bodies of their dead on ships, and then it skipped back to a conversation in the castle. Not sure if that's supposed to happen, but I found it a bit confusing, and the end of the demon fight was a complete anticlimax - I wasn't sure the battle was even over until it transitioned to the cutscene.

That is supposed to happen, yes - unlike the codex bug.

Same problem here. Connor was saved through the longwinded method where no one dies but the codex says his mum died. She obviously hasn't since she's still tending her sick dad after the event.

Just wanted to confirm this bug. I'm using 1.1a

There is only one codex regarding them, not multiple for multiple outcomes. Thus no matter what you do, you will only see one codec result. Just live with it. :-)  Its not a bug, just the fact that there is only one instance of any codec in the game, save for the 'multiple update' codecs that progress as you go along.  Even those only have one final codec version not multiples.

A bug is when something unfortunate or incongruous occurs with gameplay, not something that can be considered a contextual typo.

No, I've seen other codex entries getting updated based on quest outcomes...

I got the same problem. Is there a way for us to submit this to Bioware? Support submits to EA support, who reply they they don't deal with that type of thing.

Wrong.

And it is a bug just like any other, just not game breaking.

I just noticed this on my second playthrough after I unlocked blood mage specialisation. by making a deal with demon.Eeven though I relaoded afterwards and just kille dthe demon without talking codex entry remained teh same.

Maybe some1 can check if unlcoking the specialisation is the reason for the wrong codex since on my first playthroug I didnt and I got a proper codex entry

It sems that the completion codex entries are switched for each quest line. Saving Connor and Islode gives you the blood sacrifice codex and sacrificing Isolde give you the Lyrium Circle of Magi codex.

Hopefully they will fix this stoyline bug in the next patch.

Thanks. I got this bug and I wanted to make sure my game wasn't glitched up. It's limited to the codex only, correct? No consequences to the rest of the story? Guess I'll find out.

Too bad. My Soldier's Peak quest got mysteriously reset and the armor I got there disappeared from Sten's body where I had equipped it. What the hell? I'm afraid to touch the game now.

I'm surprised they still haven't fixed this yet. Same with missing codex entries in Dalish origin.

I killed Isolde and then made a deal with the demon, yet the codex states that I saved them all by going to the Circle of Magi (which I didn't) and that everybody was saved, even though Arl Eamonn mentions his wife's death...........????

This bug seems to occur not only on PC but also Xbox 360. It seems to be a longstanding Bug. Not sure if it happens on PS3, because I do not own one. But it seems likely.

This appears to be 100% reproducable. I had it in 3 Xbox playthroughs, and one on PC. Go to Redcliffe first, liberate the town, get into the castle and discover Connor's state, opt not to use Blood Magic (Thereby sparing Isolde's life), liberate the Circle of Magi tower, and enlist the help of the Mages to let you into the Fade to kill the demon and the Codex always says you opted for Blood Magic and Isolde gave her life.

Every time. :)

It's crazy. Isolde is present in the post-Demon cutscenes at the Lake. As is Connor. But when you reach the end of the game, and speak to Eamon in the post-Coronation scene, he'll react as if his Wife is dead. As will the postscript slides.

It clearly has been a bug for quite some time.
