Hmm, I would also like to see this be more of a romance dialogue expansion/friendship expansion. With companions mostly...having post mission conversations would be nice, rather than talking through "missed" coversations that run the theme of "preparing for the suicide mission."

Yes please! More dialogue, talks about the future and about Shepard's past, going on vacation together or dates, I'm all for that.

I would not want a romance pack based solely on ****ing someone.

A romance pack would be AWESOME!!!
i felt that there wasnt enough depth to the romances already available....well garus anyway ( stoopid callibrations
) but i would LOVE, and about 1000 other people on the forums would LOVE, to be able to jump joker's brittle bones!!!
if he can limp at 5mph he can let shepard go on top.......which is more smutty then i had intended. BIOWARE!!!! WE WANT SHOKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A romance pack would indeed be awesome, there's always room for more romance in the game, whether it be expanding on existing LIs or opening up some additional options, like being able to romance Morinth without dying, or getting to know Joker better, there's plenty of room for more romance, its a fantastic idea!

I just want Garrus to stop doing his damn calibrations and talk about his feelings with me... Or at least tell me what the hell he's calibrating.
But a romance pack would be nice... I hope BioWare does something like that to entertain their fans while they eagerly await the far off ME3 XD

My name is Severyx, and I support this thread.
I'd like to see it expand not just for love interests as well. Perhaps additional 'bromance' dialogue (conversations with non-LIs) to have a better sense of just how close the whole team is before (or even after) certain events. But definitely, at the least, more dialogue with your romance options.

I would love this, would happily pay for one.
I cant see how it would work in-game, as romance happens alongside the story arc, but post game it would be brilliant. There isnt much post game content anyway, and the fact that conversations are not updated post-consumation feels wrong.
Surely after surviving the collecters AND finding love you could celebrate a bit!!!
What would it contain though? Personally, I think the pack could:
1) have at least one quest per love interest, to personalise it for different play throughs. Could range from anything from meeting the in-laws, helping them with a problem, curing a health issue. It doesnt have to be combat - in fact I found some of the non-combat missions in ME2 some of the best and most interesting.
2) have a generic quest which you could go on with all love-interests - maybe they could get kidnapped
3) some new conversation options with love interest post game - could talk about aims, goals, interests, hobbies etc.
4) some places to visit with your love interest e.g. bars, dancing etc
5) they refer to you differently in other in-game situations
6) teammates fight with each other, or one of your old flames reappears and stakes a claim!
Throw in some Easter eggs of conversations with the rest of the crew, more banter and other things to do, and I would be sold. Mass Effect 2 I thought had brilliant characters and the team-building element was great, but once I had a team there wasnt much I could do with it or much banter between them. It seemed I (Sheperd) was the only common element apart from on a couple of occasions. There is so much potential for expansion here.
I've always felt it a shame that Bioware games romance arcs stop at final mission and you dont get any real pay-off from developing them. The ability to carry on post game with Mass Effect 2 accentuates this, and it would be nice to fil the void.
Please Bioware, make it happen!

While I very much expect people to scream "ZOMG DATING SIM", I honestly like this idea. While I've always enjoyed the romance in these games, there's always been a little part of me that wondered 'What, that's it? Bah, if only real life romances were this way, I wouldn't have to worry about once again dating the wrong person.
Sex is fun though.

Matdeception, I know people scream "dating sim", but I dont see the problem. For a start, its optional - if you dont want the content then either dont talk to them or just rebuke them. And second, even if they added an hour of LI stuff there is still hours and hours of carnage in ME2. There is only maybe an optional 10-15 minutes of love interest stuff in any play through as opposed to the hundreds of potential combat encounters, so why not add some extra bits for those who want it.
Anyway, my wider view is that, at the end of the day in any role playing game, you are supposed to be fighting for something. Friends, family, home, lovers. Why just be there to kill some external threat?
If we are just in it for the killing, isnt that a bit shallow?
It doesnt have to be romance, it could just be friendship. I always found it slightly disappointing in Fallout 3 that you couldnt build a relationship with anyone. Not even your dog. You have a house but no one visits. You end up just strolling the wastes doing things for other people, but never yourself, your own happiness doesnt factor in. Is that true to life? Is that a role anyone would choose to play if they had a choice?
I'll stop now!!

Just as long as you can Romance Morinth, Samara, & Kasumi Goto and it doesnt matter what gender your character is i'm all up for a romance pack.

I too would be interested in expanded romance and other squadmate interactions, and a more in-depth romance pack would be very welcome. If it implements same-sex romance options, I'll buy it immediately out of appreciation. Otherwise, I'll wait on reviews just to be sure it is implemented well, with true depth to characters. Dragon Age's Awakening expansion was a let-down when it came to character writing. Any character-driven add-in simply must be richer and create more - not less - opportunity to identify with the characters involved.

My opinion on this has altered somewhat. Being a supporter of same-sex romances in ME, I was against its implementation purely via DLC. However, in terms of ME2, I would support a 'relationship' pack (where the emphasis is on both friendships and romances, and where they are deep, meaningful, and add to the depth and understanding of your character) if s/s options aren't short-changed yet again.
For ME3, however, I'd like s/s relationship options to be there from the get-go - but would again support a relationship DLC pack to expand on all relationships later down the line.

I'd rather they work on real DLC.

It would be better being squad packs( extends there story and dialogue) because you know not everyone had a romance

You are aware that's a subjective measure of quality, aren't you?
