Oh man I can't wait for the Wedding Pack and Raising a Family Pack. ;p

(Still romance pack sounds like a rad idea i love when i get to do things that aren't just on the main line all the time)

If it stuff that helps pad out the very few talks you get before they start repeating themselves and added locals to visit I'm all for it. If it just sex scenes I'm not for it, I'd rather them fix stuff like toggle helmets and fixing bugs.

If people are so anxious to date, why not play the sims or singles? Or, I've heard the Japanese are churning out dating games as well - might finding something there. Anyway, do not turn Mass Effect into something it is not supposed to be.

Seriously folks, go out, get a date and get laid. For real. With a real person. It beats computer seks and luv any day.

This is a great idea! Expanding the romances that we love so much, opening up the romances so that my FemShep can finally complete the Tali romance (and hopefully the Jack and Miranda ones too), adding a mission or two with each LI that is a combination of combat and romance, like the Tali loyalty mission is, possibly adding on-ship conversations also, it would no doubt be the best selling DLC in Bioware history! Its one of the main reasons we play the game, getting to know the characters and the romances that inevitably come from that. There are clearly a few people here who can't understand that, and that's OK. Not everybody cares about the romances, but most do, and for those of us who do this would be AWESOME! Also, any romance added via DLC would be 'very' easy to carry over into ME3. Just look at the Ashley-FemShep romance. It was disabled in ME1, and yet it carries over 100% seamlessly into ME2 (for people like me who actually got to play it, via mod, in ME1), so Tali, Jack, or Miranda would no doubt carry over just as easily for FemShep into ME3 as Ashley did into ME2. Bring on the Romance DLC!!

Is there even any M/M romance SHEPARD dialog recorded? I heard there was a rumor that the only way Vanderloo accepted the VA contract was for his character to only be heterosexual. Personally I hope this isn't the case but it doesn't sound so odd

Vanderloo is the model.  Mark Meer is the voice actor.

It was definitely recorded for the first game - partially recorded in a couple of cases for the second game.

Ah yeah, I meant Meer.

Thanks :P

Are you not employed by BioWare?  Perhaps you can tell us the real reason.....

This could be fun for those interested in such things. The only problem I see with it is that unless it's kept strictly as a "post ending" quest I don't see any sensible way to work "date night" into the narrative. You're on a mission to save the galaxy and even what little "Romance Time" there is is presented as a "last chance before the big battle" kind of thing.

But yeah, it could totally work as a "post-Collector Base" thing. A little calm before the storm interlude/victory celebration beyond the "snuggle session" in the Captain's Cabin.

The only really important key notes to make this DLC successful are to keep it strictly heterosexual and to focus on growing the relationship between Tali and maleshep. So far they did an absolutely amazing job with the Tali romance.....unbelievably well made. As epic as an in-game romance can be. Now they need to keep it going. One idea is to have them spend some R&R time together and/or possibly introduce the idea of a possible child(NO I don't give a rat's ass about their diets and different/incompatible mating BS theories)

Dude it's not about "getting some" in a game. Romance is just fun and having it in a game is also fun. if you're jacking off while playing okay then there's a problem but there's no reason why you can't woo an alien vixen and still have an active sex life that's just being a douche, douche.

I didn't say anything about sex. Frankly I am more interested in the emotional connection between the two characters than sex. I couldn't care less whether/not there is any sex in said DLC.

Actually, I agree with this. However, I can't even remotely say that the romances in Mass Effect are good or even worth the effort to do, but that is more of a symtom than anything else, since the entire relationship system is screwed. The only computer game romances that have been interesting enough were the ones in Baldurs Gate 2 as far as I know - and landing Jaheeira was tough as hell.

A mature reply indeed. I was only pointing out that people put too much emphasis on this entire romance thing, which I find quite odd.

Nobody wants to see M/M... *yech*. Okay, maybe a very few do, but for those piddly few it's not worth the backlash or headache.

No... indeed the vast, vast majority of the little sci-fi geeks would love the F/F, and nobody would create anywhere near the fuss about F/F options... say nothing of the fact that we're really talking MORE F/F options, since Femshep/KellyChambers and Femshep/Liara are both already F/F.

And? If they want to play their game a certain way that effects you how exactly?

A mature person would simply ignore the whole thread instead of coming into to complain about stuff that other people like.

i rather prefer the me1 romance scene over the me2 scenes honestly. its nothing about the nudity but it just felt more heartfull and realistic. the me2 love scenes felt like a 1 night stand

agree, if they want to bring out a pack that fixes the romance scenes and greatly expands the romance conversations, Id be interested in buying it (at a reasonable price)

but if this just turns into anouther gay nonsence topic like the thread reads then no thinks, not interested!

Strange, I had got the impression that this was a discussion board, meant for discussion - and for that, differing opinions are needed. Very well, I learned something new then.

Good bye.

If it's literally called "romance pack" then i doubt the hardcore shooter fans will download it.
