I don't think it's possible to implement something like this without it reeking of desperate fan-service. Hmmm...

Maybe it could be added onto the game as some sort of 2nd loyalty quest?

Extra loyalty quests for everyone would be SO GREAT. I'm HOPING that's what they're planning with those two empty ability slots on the characters in the action bar.  I'm willing to bet that they want to give everyone unique abilities which might be why kasumi is the first character to have an ability that NO ONE ELSE can have (Unless you count Grunt maybe?)

I do hope that we get some cool 8th power as well that is all unique and stuff.  that empty slot just TAUNTS ME SO!!!

Interesting idea....not sure how economically feasible it is for Bioware, considering the number of possible love interests in the game. But hey, they've surprised me before, so who am I to judge?

If they do decide to roll with this, I'd love to see them add some more awkward dating tips from Mordin as well :P

Seriously folks, go out, get a date and get laid. For real. With a real person. It beats computer seks and luv any day.

ye and srsly folks, go out, get into a fight with someone and kill them. for real. a real person. it beats computer fitez n kilz any day!1

If you think love/sex is the same as violence, then I feel sorry for you.

If you think virtual reality is the same as reality then I feel sorry for you.

A mature reply indeed. I was only pointing out that people put too much emphasis on this entire romance thing, which I find quite odd.

And? If they want to play their game a certain way that effects you how exactly?

A mature person would simply ignore the whole thread instead of coming into to complain about stuff that other people like.

Strange, I had got the impression that this was a discussion board, meant for discussion - and for that, differing opinions are needed. Very well, I learned something new then.

Good bye.

And I got the impression that those who have the nerve to open their mouth to complain about other people's enjoyment that doesn't affect them usually weren't mature.

Seems I learned something new as well.

Honestly do try not to claim the high road when you're being opinionated. It does you no favors.

Interesting idea... While I doubt Bioware would actually invest the time/money into it, I'd totally buy a Romance DLC pack if they did. "Mass Effect 3: Asari Gone Wild!" XD

Yay! and I'm really sorry for this but I'm going to be totally self-referential - my sincerest apologies

A Love letter to Bioware

Not about Mass Effect of course but the same applies really ^^

[edit for horrid spelling]

On the one hand, I'm a huge fan of this idea in principle. On the other hand, my Shep didn't romance any of the ME2 squad members.

Could put together a new Shep if such a pack was released, though. :-)

RE this - a romance-centric mission pack would be a great opportunity to expand on Kaidan/Ashley/Liara romances, too.

I say this. If they make the romance pack avalible I guarrantee they will make more money and sense EA has already made dating game like simulations. (the sims) I have a good feeling they could go about it in a decent way. Holla!

It's a cool idea, though I wonder how tied in it would end up being with the grander scheme of things.

I'm glad to know they're open to the idea. Whether or not they will act on it, remains to be seen.

I sense a disturbance in the force. As if millions of video game nerds cried out in pain at being unable to get a date. So they downloaded the romance DLC....

Only a few words are needed here. One actually.

Creeepy....

I'd like to point out quickly that everyone in this thread calling those in favor of this content "nerds" took the time to register their game and post on the forum about it.

Food for thought.

YES to romance DLC. I'd even pay $10-$15 for it.

As a 40ish married mom of 2 I guess I don't need to worry about getting a date.  The romances add greatly to game immersion and are just plain fun.   I would buy a romance DLC, my poor Shep is waiting for Kaiden in ME3 and I have several characters in DA:O who would love more interaction with Zevran (okay, for all you swoopers I do have one character that would like more Alistair).  More in-game dialog options would be great, it would be nice to talk with your romantic interest about what is going on in the game - it seems natural to talk to someone you care about when a crisis is occuring.  I don't know if it would be possible to add more in game dialog at this point (suggestion for ME3 and DA2) but a DLC would be great.  I would love to find Kaiden after ME2 and at least talk to him or take Zevran to Antiva to resolve his status with the Crows.

I will add that I don't care at all about the sex scenes, it's the romance dialog Bioware does so well, that I enjoy.

And something that would resolve the dreadful 'Be alive with me tonight." line re Thane. Bioware guys - WHAT were you thinking? Were you drunk? *shudders* My toes curled up so much it nearly broke my feet!

Yes, I'm not entirely certain why some folk assume that just because you want more romance in your game, it means you can't get any in real life! It's not an either/or thing people.

My take on this is that the in-depth romances were taken out because Bioware was trying to appease Faux news. I think that it should have been much less of an issue seeing as FOX has shown themselves to be completely insane, this move is a good one, but this idea should have been incorporated into the game before it was released, not as DLC later. Frankly I'm a little disappointed in Biowear for crumbling under the pressure of a conservative punditry that tries to pass for news. Way to show em guys

Mod keeps killing topics...

How about an Anderson romance? It doesn't even have to be with Shepard. Have him join the crew and that can be part of his "Loyalty" quest.

An extra loyalty mission? We could have Harbinger point it out in the Suicide Mission as well.

Well seeing how the Kaiden Alenko support thread ticks, Bioware could make a five-minute long DLC of a foodfight between Shepard and Alenko and scoop a nice profit.
Not to mention any DLC concerning Tali'Zorah - with that they'd make out like a bandit.

Given BioWare's recent habit of trolling fans and our requests... I'd be careful what you wish for.
