Getting to take Kelly to a Crab Fest for a date would be awesome.  Wait... thats not what you meant.  She does not have scale itch dammit! I still say its the shuttle pilot, and had to use a bathroom on Tuchanga.

Then again, the Bioware founders surprise may be false and it could already be in the works. Shepard (male and female) seems to attract all the ladies/fellas/asexual beings.

Bottom line is BW and EA want to make money. I have no doubt that BW wants to also appease their fanbase. If they feel this will accomplish both tasks with little effort on their part, I am sure they will more then entertain the idea.
