I can't help but facepalm every time someone uses the phrase dating sim in relation to Mass Effect 2. 15 mins of "romance" dialogue in a 30+ hour game constitutes as a dating sim? Ooooookay.
Nice to see someone using a bit of logic.
This is why I think DLC has a lot of potential in video games, especially in games like Mass Effect. You can add variety.
Gamers who love action? You get things like the Firewalker pack.
Gamers who love customization? You get things like the Alternate appearance pack and new armor.
Gamers who love gunplay? You get new weapons.
Gamers who enjoy dialogue, building Shepard's relationships, ect.? You get Romance pack.
If you find one area isn't your style or doesnt' suit your tastes, but another does, you're free to only get what you want. I think that's pretty brilliant myself.
