When posting, sometime I use the left/right parentheses or greater than/Less than signs to notate a "thought" or "action"

I noticed that a lot of these characters do not show up in the final post. Is this intended, or maybe because of the use of HTML?

I wouldn't be surprised if angle brackets were being interpreted as HTML, yeah.

 

I notice that both types of brackets show fine for me, though. Perhaps this has been resolved.

My be only certain places, I noticed it with Messages, and I believe blogs.
