pass up anymore locked chests. im a warrior and i dont think i can get a lock picking skill .if  a  warrior
can get that  ability what slot do i need to put points into to get it  .someone aluded  that its a rouge skill
only that would be fine . but its also says you can buy a key from somewhere  anyone know where i can 
get a key to open them ,also does said key stay with you for whole game or do you have to keep buying
them? ive already had to pass up over 15 locked chests. thanks

get leliana in your party she can pick locks and her bow and bard abilities make her a very good support character

She cant open most of the chests to start with and even with the skill maxed and lots of cunning and dex she still wont open all for me, maybe 75%?

really? i've got her cunning at 30 at even with only expert tools she can open anything

leliana is doing it for me. I have her maxed with her trap skills and she's able to pick about 90% of all the chests. I've even gone back and got a few that were too tough for her earlier.



Not there's much in the chests anyway. I'm finding most chests to be on the weak side as far as loot goes.

I have beaten the game, and picked every lock along the way and found ZERO good items in them.

Sure it gives more gold, but its not a must have.

I've found Grandmaster Runes in a few...as well as various other gear...not to mention quest items that you will need if you choose to do a certain side quest.
