The game is what you make of it, I suppose.

Not a bad game over all, could have been much better...my only real complaint is spending 43$ for a game I cleared in one night. Several changes I would have made...(Throwing Romance back in to name one..that amused the heck out of me in the original.) But I did like the gag weapons (They are not bad perse, but by the time you get them you probably have better.) Flemeths Broomstick and Lampost in Winter. Over all not bad...way to much for one nights entertainment though.
One night???!!! WOW! I wish I had the time...I was lucky to get a couple hours last night when I got home. If this thing will take 15 to 25 hours to complete, I have weeks of gaming ahead...

See it from the bright side: It's still cheaper than a prostitute and has definitely more replay-value.
This wins.

Prostitutes have replay value?

Some people say it took them 10 hours and some say it took them 35. Depends on how your characters are built, how many side-quests you do, how much you explore, if you mess around with merchants/economy, if you do crafting, if you respec to make new builds, all sorts of things like that. I'm sure you can power through Awakening in 10 hours, but you can also get through Origins in 20 hours easily, if not faster. I know from experience that a lot of my time was spent talking to party members in camp, reloading saves over and over to get the "right" conversation options and quest outcomes, etc. If I spent 60 hours but my game time counter only reads 30 because of my obsessive quicksaving and reloading, can I factor that into the game's "actual length"?
My first playthrough of Origins took me about 65 hours. Every one after that varied but it was closer to 20-25. You are 100% right. It is what each individual person makes of the game and how they want to play it.

I bought a pair of cross-country skis from LLBEAN a couple of years ago and I've used them twice. I didn't complain to LLBEAN because I underused them.
On the other hand, once I get done paying for dinner, movie and a baby sitter.. A night out with by wife can push $200. $43 sounds like a bargain.

I like playing multiple toons to see what different conversation choices result in. And don't forget Dragon Age Modders, those guys are amazing. I expect some good stuff coming in a few weeks.
heck some guy already made a mod so that all your DLC items import to awakening

You want romance in Awakenings? It's in there. Just gotta get Oghren all liquored up first, then he's a cheap date. Just watch out for the funky green rash he's gotten.

Let's try to be a little more courteous on the boards here, I see post after post where the OP says something not "popular" and get's ripped a new one because of it, kinda ridiculous.

I wish I had that kind of money, and/or I wish there were enough worth-while games to indulge. I'll resort to the toolset for modifying once I tire of the default game.mrfoo1 wrote...
Did people forget all of a sudden that the average gamer only plays the main story line of a game once before moving onto a new game????
