Try this for a work-around folks until a patch happens:
1. First step is to delete Origins and Awakening from your PS3. This won't delete your save games, just the game data. More importantly, this will also delete the DLC data.
2. Reinstall DAO and DAA onto your PS3.
3. Reinstall any DLC you want. If you purchased any DLC it won't ask you to purchase again, it should be showing as downloaded but not installed. Go ahead in install only the DLC you want on your PS3. This is the time where if you are having problems with Warden's Keep in Awakening, don't install it.
Without Warden's Keep, The Vengeance sword and Sentinel armor will look as they should.
***A quick warning though, if you do not install the DLC you had before, any saves made during that time probably won't load for you and may tell you that there is DLC missing. New games in either DAO or DAA should work fine.***
This only works for NEW games. If you transferred a character your save will corrupt and be unplayable (mine only transferred Wade's Dragonbone armor - sold rest, so it must be the blood abilities and not items)!! Also, in doing this it corrupted some other file as now all the specilizations are greyed out again and need to be unlocked. And since I already bought the manuals, I can't have any respecs or new specializtions for the rest of that entire save game - THANKS.
Seriously... how hard is it to name textures with unique names and send the patch for Sony approval? It should take you less than 10 minutes and should of been done within the first week of release. Are you guys down to one programmer with down syndrome? Hire a QA tester? I mean if you actually played the game you get the armor at the same time you get Justice - wouldn't you attempt putting the new armor on the new character (no way! who would do that). You are making more enemies than friends with your crap - expect any future dlc/xpac sales to be nonexistent.
Honestly, I haven't had this problem. Last night I decided to give Awakenings another playthrough as a Warrior (stopped playing after I beat it once thanks to the glitches and waiting for a ptch) and after using Lang's fix and then transfering a character, everything ran pretty smoothly. I took notice that the only Power of Blood abilities that are relevant are the ones for the Rogue, the ones for the Mages and the Warriors will corrupt by transfering a character anyway as far as I can tell.
The only irritating aspect of this is that this fix is quite time-consuming. I have to uninstall everything, reinstall DAO and DAA, then redownload all of the DLC I want. This process can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half depending on what time of day I am attempting to do it (this is a college campus network). It's not really convenient in the slightest, but I am hoping BioWare is going to make a patch.
