Does the "cripple" effect in crippling slam = biotic effect? (For damage boost and warp explosion.)

Well, the topic title sort of says it all, but I'm unsure of whether the "cripple" duration for crippling slam (a whopping 8 seconds) causes the target to be "affected by biotics" for purposes of warp explosion or damage bonus.

Clearly the target is not "ragdolled" as with other biotic effects, but I could swear the crippled target had the blue aura as if they were biotically affected.

I'd test it myself, but I figured I'd post to see if anyone else already has the answer.  (No point replicating, right?  And the xbox load times are intolerable for field testing . . .)

Thanks.

It does count as ragdolled as far the damage bonus goes, but you can only do a warp explosion on the lift, not when they're on the ground.

That is correct.

Okay follow up, warp doesn't actually detonate singularities does it? Just the effect they give right?

Also, when I use barrier and then another biotic effect, the barrier lighting goes away. Is it still on?

And I guess I might also ask, does lift insta-kill blue suns/eclipse/vorcha like it does husks on normal? Do husks survive it on veteran?

Thanks for the quick responses.  Too bad though, I was thinking crippled mooks would make for makeshift remote landmines.

The warp explosion destroys the singularity.

Barrier is still on, even if the light is overriden by something else.  (I'm pretty sure.)

Lift only instant-kills husks, and that's on any difficulty.  (Note: Abominations are not instant-killed.)

barrier stays on, I believe. Test it. Take note of your shields before barrier. Then cast barrier and record your shields. After casting another ability see if your shields remain the same as before you lost the "lightning"

Barrier does stay on and you can check your shields like FoFoZem stated to make sure.

Warp will only detonate the singularity if it hits someone who is affected by it. You can shoot a singularity directly.

Any freezing or ragdoll effect will instantly kill the blue Husks. Remember that you have to take down their resistances on harder difficulties before you can have those effects on them.

I have finally gotten around to trying crippling slam on an assault sentinel and I absolutely love it. I've gotten rid of cryo blast since they serve the same purpose except crippling slam lasts longer, the mob receives damage from slam, and the cooldown is shorter on slam. I can also have Miranda set off warp explosions from slam if I time it right. Win, win, win, win.

When an enemy is in the red, I automatically go for crippling slam and follow up with weapon damage to quickly kill them off due to ragdoll bonus damage. If other mobs are nearby a mob in the red, I'll use slam to setup a warp explosion from a team member. The cooldown is so fast on an assault sentinel that you can just spam it nonstop if you want. Sentinels are already good at removing defenses so it compliments them well.

It is not as good as pull for setting up warp explosions because of the timing issue, but I can usually get it off. Very underated talent that is quickly becoming one of my favorite bonuses.
