Somewhere between "A" and "B" in my experience.

I've noticed occasional audio and graphical glitches, and the occasional frame rate slowdown, but nothing so far that I consider to be game breaking. If you want game that busts your PS3, take your chances with Quantic Dream's "Heavy Rain." I did, and I bombed. Nothing even close to that yet in DAA (or DAO), and I'm hoping it stays that way.

Did you have any complaints about the same issues in Origins?

I'm a Framerate man, myself.

Supposedly the framerate is a wee bit better, but don't expect miracles.

This is the "HD" console generation where 90% of HD games run at 600-680p and not true 720p

games like DAO that do run at 720p have framerate issues, the only games that dont are first party or sports games.

This is the SUB HD console generation.

Why does it have framerate issues then at 480i, or SD as well then?

Farkin' A for me. Origins runs, and always has, well for me though. I haven't experienced the issues others have. I might get the occasional stutter, but nothing near what people have described.

Worked fine for the couple of hours I got to play last night. I didn't have any framerate issues or the like.

My guess is because the native res is like 720p, it just scales down for SD

Yes you have, every version is the exact same, the framerate is bad. You experienced it, everyone has, you may not have noticed

Actually, for me the framerate hasn't ever been that bad as well. An occasional stutter, a hiccup here and there, but not the overhyped framerate complaints that others have complained about.

And before you go trying to put words into my mouth like you did with this poster you quoted, let me again say NO.

If there's one complaint i would make about the game, it's that i didn't get to bump uglies with the queen with my Human noble when i persuaded her to marry my character. If i'm goign off to die and i can't do it in bed, i'd best get some before i go off.:P

It is possible that the way you play the game influences framerate issues.

For example, having lots of spell effects on screen, sustainables that create character "auras", and wading right in to a large group of enemies could be an entirely different experience than that of say just having a mage healing in a melee party, with few aura sustains and kiting enemies to fight in small numbers.

Also if you tend to play in 1-2 hour segments you will likely see less issues than if you are in hour 6 of a marathon.

With that said though, a good test is near the start of the game in Origins, when you are going across the bridge to the Tower of Ishal.

If you just run straight across the bridge... not walk, but run... while the catapult fireballs are coming in, I would venture a guess that every single player will see some framerate stuttering there.

It's not like PCs... we all have pretty much the same hardware.

Personally, I have some framerate issues, but it's nothing game breaking for me.

If it were a shooter type game like a Modern Warfare, or an Uncharted, then framerate would be a bigger issue. But with a game like this with auto attacks, it doesn't really effect the gameplay... it just effects the enjoyment / immersion of some.

I enjoy playing in as close to "Real Time" as possible, I am sure that is why my battles are like someone is turning the "go" switch on and off.

But... My gripe is about overall smoothness. I can understand when you are surrounded by enemies, and the spells are a-poppin', its gonna lag a bit. I however, do not appreciate when the camera lags as you casually pan around to view the environment, or the action hesitates over something as simple as drawing your sword. The game really struggles to maintain a smooth framerate even when just exploring. Forget about it entirely if something is trying to kill you.

What I'm looking for here is if its improved at all in Awakenings. Obviously if you didn't notice in Origins, you aren't going to notice now. Unless its been improved. And from what I can gather, it hasn't.

The framerates were actually logged and posted by lensoftruth.  They are not "overhyped" they are factual numbers.

Whether or not it bothers you is another matter.  For me, framerates being crappy in a RPG on a console is just something I've gotten used to.

The stuttering when drawing weapons *might* be also linked to the AI scripts.  I 've noticed that when I have a full party, and scripts set on, there is indeed a stutter when drawing weapons, my thought is because that is when those scripts kick in AND the spells start happening, buffs, etc.. all at once.

Well I've run into a lot of glitches lol like for instance when i first start off, zero noise in combat except voices for like the first hour. And when I beat it, it showed the final scene four times in a row before it did the epilogue, and then it played two more times after. The whole time im just like "WTF?" and so after credits still wondering wtf was going on, I hit resume and my character is sitting in front of the last boss still. Is that even suppose to happen? I thought it'd be like origins and put me right before the battle or something after i beat it. :/

edit:
Also in the final scene im a dual wielding warrior and it only showed one of my swords and it had a flame rune and i had a grandmaster lightning rune equipped lol (was using vigilance so maybe thats why idk). <_<

Yes dear.

My perception is that the framerate "issue" is nominal and does not affect gameplay.  I can be in full-scale combat and do not experience anything that I deem detrimental to performance or enjoyment of the game.

One thing I did notice in Awakenings, was an audio issue in part of the Keep.  No sound effects were happening.  It seems to have "gone away" now that I am done with the opening scenes inside the Keep.

Correct, the frames do indeed drop, it's just a matter of caring or not
