they should add joker in.

nothing beats a cripple firing weapons with enough recoil to fracture his fragile bones in every agonizing detail possible... or just beat the game and watch joker do the rambo...

now all he needs is to wear some high-heeled boots for his armor and everything will be nice and groovy..

This.

We don't need any more saturation in our squad. Maybe give us one or two more to fill in the missing species, (Volus squad member ftw!) but other than that, keep the members of 2 and bring back who was gone in 1.

Take out mordin, thane, and put in Thanes son, and Mirandas sister. Mordin and Thane are at the end of there lives and ya probably wont live much longer after ME2 ends.

Personally I'd like the possibility of every single squad mate in both games who still alive so far, and then there will obviously be a couple of new members introduced by default. Kolyat'd be nice as well.

I'm not sure on how to work around such a high number really. Am I the only one who doesn't see 15+ squadmates as that much of a big deal? They're all important, all have their own personalities, all have their own stories with Shepard, and of course depending on how your save went/default storyline there may be only half that much available to recruit in the first place.

I would like to actually have to go out and persuade/intimidate them into joining me again though, I don't want any of them handing themselves to me on a silver platter. I want to be able to go to where Jacob lives, talk with him about what we did to his dad, and then if for example his father is still alive, go to the prison where he's located and have the 3 of us sit down and talk about things, and then maybe Jacob can get back on good terms with his father and be persuaded to join me for the final quest. Something that feels like I had to put some effort into it and therefore feels rewarding when I finally get them back on my side. Garrus is Shep's bro and all, yes, but I wasn't too convinced by his 'Oh hey bro, I've not seen you in 2 years and you are working with a shady company but what the heck, I'll join you! ...Oh, what are we actually doing by the way?' attitude.

I'd write out a couple more scenarios but then they'd start to feel the same. Talking with Miranda and Oriana, convincing Wrex to leave Tuchanka and then possibly either having the possibility of leaving Grunt in charge (so he is no longer your squadmate), putting Wreav in charge who does things his own way, if I have enough Paragon he can leave someone who is actually trustworthy (maybe the Shaman or Wrex's mate?) in charge etc. If Tali is alive, she is more or less stuck on the Normandy, which is fair enough from a story point of view. From the moment you start off a new game, she is there with you. That makes sense.

But then of course I'm talking about if there is another time skip inbetween the games, therefore leaving the Normandy 2 crew to their own devices (much in the way the first were left). If we start off the exact second ME2 ends, then we would have a very large squad immediately, which isn't my preferred choice of handling things. This however IS a Bioware game so I expect my main character to have 4-5 squadmates very quickly into the game, though.

EDIT: What I said about Kolyat ties into the same 'weaving story' that possibly having Wrex over Grunt does as well. Going to the Citadel to their house, possibly seeing Thane pass away if I can't cure him and then having Kolyat step up in his place is all dependant on the choices I have made and will continue to make in the series. Having Kolyat be the only alternative/bonus character in the game wouldn't be enough though! Stick one or two more in please will you ^_^
