Hello,

I played DAO on the PC and decided to buy it for ps3 because I am tired of playing games with the minimum of details with my ancient PC. I am planning to use a hammer Mjöllnir style to disintegrate it in minuscule parts and throw the ashes in the ocean...but that is another story.

I have few concerns after reading this forum a little bit since it looks like another Fallout 3 kind of story (don't know if you are familiar with the ps3 Fallout 3 porting disgrace...an abomination made video game).

Question:

I would like to know, in a nutshell, what are the problems that the ps3 version has in comparison with the PC version or any game breaking problems.

Plus...I bought the game online from a retailer based in England but I live in Finland. Is there going to be a problem with the DLCs that I will eventually buy from PSN and with the promotional codes in the box? Like the stone prisoner and such.

Thank you for your time :)

No support is probably the most expected thing you should have with getting the PS3 version. It's playable but far from working as it was intended. The PS3 forum is a ghostown for Bioware help. You can most likley count on one hand how many times the have responded to threads here.

Devs don't seem to care, but luckily the PC community works on their own patches bug fixes and what nots to help each other out. Sadly with not tool set the PS3 community doesn't have this option.

If the game is NEW and SEALED you should have no problems w/ the DLC

as for the differences between the PC version? There are many, lack of overhead cam is one big one, PC has more control over party and summons.

PS3 looks better than the XBOX, but XBOX has better framerate.

PS3/XBOX versions have less enemies on screen than PC, but each enemy has more health.

That doesnt help at high levels, the game is still too easy on medium on consoles levels 13+
