With this, I've got all but three of them (Illium [missed it, and it's waaaay too expensive on eBay], Afterlife, and Collectors [not sure I care for that one]), so now I don't need to feel so guilty about borrowing my roommate's copy of the game to play. You've got enough of my money now, BioWare!

Dsurian, I am sorry you were unable to purchase the lithograph you desired, but you are taking my quote out of context. I meant that by Jedi having provided the approximate time at which the lithographs would be released, he gave those of us who want the prints a chance to purchase them that we'd otherwise not - including you. It is unfortunate that everyone who wanted one may not have been able to make a purchase, but with such a limited number of prints, it was to be expected.

True, but your post still managed to imply that I didn't "truly want them" enough, despite my obvious and arduous attempt. But do not take my post to mean that i either blame you, or that I blame Jedi...

Edit: Jedi, any chance to you could make sure than no-one ordered more than 2?...or more than 1, for that matter, given the extra-super-extreme-limited-ness?

Also Jedi, is there any reserve stock of the Citadel Litho left or has it gone forever?  I would love to get my hands on that one just to make it the center piece of my collection.  I stumbled across another thread that said it came back into stock 9 days ago -   social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/13/index/2356396.  I can't believe how I missed seeing it again, even though I was checking regularly...   Can you please give us a heads-up if there's still some to be released, just like you did with the ones today?

Yeah, I really wanted the Citadel one too but I guess fate just doesn't agree.  I did luck out though and got a few I was missing (not Garrus but...oh well) right before they went out of stock.  People were fast this morning.

Jedi said we will see four new ones in May. I'm sure he will provide us with a heads up as we approach their release.

Sorry if this comes off as harsh, but those lithos were released a while ago and its your fault if you missed them. You can't complain about missing the release of shipping damage stock (which wasn't even announced until way after the lithos sold out). I know I'll be trying to buy 2 citadels when they go up, assuming I'm around when the store gets updated.

I can understand a rasonable purchase limit like 3 per litho for the actual releases, but there are already only a handful that come in these post releases, and even with a quantity limit they would sell virtually instantly. Anyone dedicated enough to get more than the limit could easily bypass any ip based limit as well.

I see no problem with buying two copies, not everyone is looking to make a profit. I got two copies of the Illusive Man lithograph one for me, and one for my friend (who didn't have the spare cash at the time).

It is too bad that some are more concerned about turning a profit off of the lithographs that other would enjoy having, but its a matter of first come first serve. I do agree a reasonable purchase limit should be made though.  Someone buying four or more is a bit odd.

But for these releases that are certainly the last, I would think a purchase limit of 1 should be in place - as in, in the voice of Jedi, "You all have had your chance...now for any single person who doesn't already have one that desperately wants one for his/her personal collection: here's your  chance."  For the upcoming final-release, I'm tempted to buy a second TIM; the one i bought originally, i gifted to my father and i found that i actually really liked it, so I think I'd like one for myself - but at the same time, i don't think I'm going to, simply because I think theres someone out there who will deserve it more...but also, theres probably someone else out there who has a 'friend' named Ebay...  (As far as generally limitations, i think 2 should be fine - you likely wouldn't need to gift more than 1 Litho - but that doesn't perticularly help the immoral, re-selling issue as (reportedly) most of the ebay users selling Litho's have not sold more than 1 Litho, and (as erik pointed out) it would be extremely hard to make it a full-proof system.)

In the end, complaining on the internet is generally pointless anyways - in an attempt to agree with that one point of yours, erik.  The only reason I did was due to it being an extremley high-stress morning with less than 3 hours of sleep, and the lack of Litho just pushed me over containment...

Dsurian, I think you should get a second TIM. To my mind, we all have an equal opportunity to get a Litho despite what system gets put in place.  If you like it, get it. Put it up in a good home.

If you decide not to get it with the blind hope that a fan will be lucky enough to get it themselves, the flipside of the coin as you correctly point out, is that an ebayer may just get it anyway.  There's nothing that can be done really apart from cap it at an agreed level...say 3 or 4... which is a figure mentioned in other opinions.

I know the saying goes "All is fair in love, war, and trying to make a quick buck off of ebay", but I would support a strict limit of one of each litho per customer on these last ditch sales. There were barely 10 of most of them up for sale, you get some greedy jerk who comes in and buys 4 of them to sell, and only 3 or 4 people get a shot to own one.



Yeah, I know, dems da brakez and all that crap, but most stores put a purchase limit on limited edition items, it's very common, so I don't see why it can't be used here to give more fans a real shot if they blew it the first time. Plus, if you want to stockpile copies, you have "your" chance when they originally go up for sale.



I say this as someone who owns all the lithos, so it's not a missed opportunity spurring me on, I just would like to see people that really want them to treasure them get them, instead of people who don't care about the art or the game and just want to make a buck.
