I was under the assumption that today's (Friday's) sale is supposed to be of those extra lithos held back for customer support reasons...

Also, while some debate is healthy, those are quite some accusations you are making about Bioware without much evidence Dsurian.

Pardon my phrasing, speculation would be a better term to use.

they are, the bioware jedi(lol) said
"We are still going to be releasing the remaining signed and numbered Lithographs on Friday.'
there are the ones held back for customer support reasons/P&H issues but they are still part of the original 'lot'. so its fine they are being sold on a later date.

they'd probably be up in afew hrs. i'm in the future so i dont know when they'll be up in 'canada-time' lol

Speculations about Bioware...?  Well, when paying through Paypal, Biowarestore.com purchases are listed as going to Treehouse Brands, not EA or Bioware - which makes me wonder who they are and which side of the corporate ladder Jedi's on - nothing unreasonable about that, i dont think, and i think it odd that no one else has ever thought to question this.  As far as the Bazaar, everyone i've heard of had received an unsigned Litho from those packs - it seems only logical that, like the extra Illiums which are obviously unsigned, those also were 'extras' or reprints to satisfy the Bazaar - why else would they be unsigned?

But anyways, I'm done with this line of conversing - its obvious that you all are significantly not interested in the Illiums despite how minuscule the release would likely be, the illogical aforementioned complacency over Bazaar-related reprints, or the misguided veiw of Biowares "agreement" (Metaphor: it's like you and your parents (Treehouse) agreed on 5 *insert prefered holiday* presents each this year - your parents however later decided to get you 7 instead, but given the agreement, you-all are actively fighting to incinerate 2 of the gifts in the fireplace for the sake of some verisimilitude ...?!?) - so since i was never interested in them in the first place, screw it - nevermind.

Jedi, i would agree with everyone else suggesting a new thread, and i would love it if you could answer my quesitons on the previous page.

-Treehouse Brands(happy tree friends? lol)/Jedi may be part of a 3rd party group but they still sell products on behalf of Bioware. They could be a 3rd party group that organises the printing/manufacturing or distribution of bioware products? Whichever 'side' Jedi is from is irrelevant, his our front-of-house store contact and i trust he passes on relevant store-news. His position or Treehouse Brands still represent bioware and is equal to that of a Seller.

-As Jedi stated before "during the printing process to get 300 Lithographs almost twice as many are printed. The first several hundred are destroyed as the print press and colors and being tweaked to match the approved Lithograph. At the end of the process there are often Lithographs left over."
The Bizaar which was afew weeks?months ago?, we're probably given these printed leftover lithographs. Bioware have to meet their agreement with the Bizaar winners but as of now, (after realization and speaking with those at bioware) they wont be selling any non-signed lithos in the future.

Speaking formyself, i'd love a Illium lithograph! its not that i'm not interested but i understand why the've held off releasing the spare ones. so i hold no discontent with their decision.

I came to work specifically today so I can purchase some lithos.

I've got a greasemonkey script refreshing the page on a separate monitor so I can see when they go up!

Last time, the final batch of lithos were released at approx. 9:30 EST. I'm hoping that the BWS sticks to a similar time frame for this round as I will be heading into work at 11:00 EST.

Hey Guys - We're working making sure in inventory is matched up. I'm hoping to get everything up before noon MST. As an FYI we have 2 new DAO shirts and 2 new ME2 shirts which are pretty sweet.

In regards to Bazaar Lithographs BW held back signed and numbered Litho's for the prize packs that were not sent to the store (ie: we only recieved 375 IM Lithographs originally). We did have some unsigned get mixed in, but they were exceptions.

I'd be happy to address the questions regard Treehouse on a separate tread. If its not already started go ahead and get it going and I'll get some answers up later today or over the weekend.

Thanks,

J

Thinking back to when I was a kid, let's say my parents and I did agree on them getting me 5 presents a certain year, they then decided to up it to 7 on their own accord, I got all excited over the unanticipated windfall, and then they pulled it back down to the previously agreed 5 because the other two presents just weren't in the cards anymore.

I'm sure I'd be disappointed, maybe even inclined to throw a tantrum or two. But I'm sure my parents would say that they were also disappointed that they couldn't get those extra presents for me and only couldn't because they just weren't available after all. Then they'd use it as an opportunity to try to teach me a lesson about how I was never entitled to those presents I didn't end up getting or any presents at all for that matter, and instead I should focus on what I did get because that keeps it a positive experience on the whole for everyone involved. They'd say that presents are things that are given voluntarily without any compensation, so attaching entitlement to any presents in the first place is actually a somewhat selfish thing to do since it undermines the value that makes it a 'gift'. I'm not actually losing anything in the gift-giving transaction that never took place, rather I'm disappointed because I got my hopes up higher than I should've and now I'm still reeling because I prematurely attached ownership to items that were never mine to begin with. Yes, they would find themselves complicit in getting my hopes up and would apologize for that, but at the end of the day my feelings are all that was hurt so I should get over it and be satisfied that I still did get presents when there are plenty of kids out there who didn't get anything at all.

I would love to get an Illium print, don't get me wrong. I would absolutely LOVE one. But to pay the full standard retail price for one that's neither signed/numbered wouldn't sit well with me, since it's incomplete without the signature and numbering. Everything sold by the store has to be held to the same standard, and caving on this despite the demand being out there is a slippery slope that could lead to other double-standards and a decided loss of credibility by the store and Bioware itself.

As for the Bazaar related reprints, I'm one of the people that won a space lithograph prize pack and I am going to be very disappointed if I receive lithographs that aren't signed/numbered. Without the artist's signature and numbering, lithographs would appear to be just posters at first glance to those unfamiliar with them, rather than the limited edition pieces of art that these are supposed to be. When I bid on them, it was under the assumption that they were just like the ones sold in the store since I didn't see anything telling me otherwise (there was a guy who won the Bioware Store Pack, which was described as one of everything in the Bioware Store, so the implication was made that prizes were the same quality/standard as items sold by the store). If I had known ahead of time that the lithographs weren't going to be signed/numbered, I really don't know if I'd have still bid on them anyways or if I would've changed my mind and gone for something else that was still "store quality". The Bazaar is a separate animal from the Bioware Store and I understand that, but I will nonetheless feel like they pulled one over on me because it's not like signed/numbered prints were unavailable when prizes were being given out.

The extras from the actual print run were sold during the Bazaar prize distribution period. So there were signed/numbered lithographs that could've been given to Bazaar winners, 13 Minuteman/Omega prints in fact - plenty to cover the 11 space prints included in the Bazaar. I'll reserve judgment until I receive my prize pack, but if mine are neither signed/numbered, that would mean a decision was made NOT to use those lithographs for the Bazaar prizes, and I find that unconscionable.

EDIT: It's a moot point since Jedi's post that went up while I was typing this.

Thanks for the update, Jedi. Unfortunately, I will not be around to purchase the Afterlife lithograph that I am missing.

If anyone would be so kind to order an extra Afterlife litho for me, I would be willing to pay you $55 paypal for your troubles and be ever grateful for your generosity. This should adequately cover the cost of the lithograph, gas, and shipping. I understand that you would be able to earn more by flipping the piece on ebay, but I just don't have that kind of $$$. Thank you for your consideration.

Best of luck to all those who are looking to add their ME2 artwork collections.
