Just received one of my orders with the Collectors litho. Kind of disappointed. The new packaging is definitely an improvement but it still could be better. My litho came with a small bend on its top right corner. The outer box came dinged pretty good in that same corner. Without opening it I could see that litho, in between the two pieces of Styrofoam, had moved around in transit and that corner became exposed. I imagine that's how the damage occurred. My suggestions to improve the packaging would be: 1. Secure the two pieces of Styrofoam so that the litho cannot move around. This could be done by taping each of the Styrofoam's sides together. 2. Completely seal the outer box so the inside is not exposed to the elements.

The first two are just opening teasers. The last is a pic of how it was shipped. Mine arrived in fine condition, one corner on both is slightly bent, but that is fine in my opinion. It wont show once its framed, and wont take away from my pleasure in owning and viewing these works of art

Notice how bent up the corners of the box are.  The tape was secure, but it was torn through.  The fibers are the only thing that was holding it together.  i cut them with a blade. The potential for disaster is lurking around the corner considering the USPS and FedEx have a pretty bad rep in the shipping industry. Hell, so does UPS. I deal with them all on a daily basis. If they just slipped the sandwiched lithos into another cardboard sleeve, it would make a world of a difference.

Glad you guys got yours!!  I'm going to try to pick up a frame today ~I realized after looking @ prices, I don't think I can afford any legit frames so I may just keep 1 of the lithos up.  I would choose the illusive man most likely.

As with X in 415, my damage is very minor but still sucks :(

On another note I got a response to my support case and tried to snap a few pics today of the rounded corner which they requested.

**How much are you guys paying for frames and from where?**

The amount of tape on that isn't very encouraging... the last litho I got, the edges were almost completely covered with that tape. Didn't realize they only had that much on them.

Well, here's hoping someone's here to receive mine when they arrive... it's been raining quite a bit in Vancouver lately.

Got mine, must say shipping is much better, as the last round I got fir #1 copy of two of the lithos, and they were both creased and really scratched up. Flat shipping was definitely an improvement.

As for the tape, my last shipment has the tape parallel to the edges of the cardboard, so it formed a closed pocket for the lithos. The tape on these shipments in perpendicular to the edge, which makes them more prone to tearing imo. Was this a Bioware Store decision, or USPS? I just have a minor bent corner on each one due to all 4 shifting between the styrofoam during transit, but nothing I can't fix.

As for numbers, I got everything in the upper 100s and lower 200s but Collectors, which was 47. Does anyone have an idea if they were shipped in order or just randomly?

Oh, and I'm not sure what you're talking about when you say that the store support is bad. They always reply to my tickets within 4-5 hours.

This time around, there was three pieces on the top, one on each side. Total, 5 pieces on the entire package.
Here is a pic. The bottom was solid cardboard. Its one big piece, folded.  Again, I hope this comes across as constructive feedback.  I am 100% happy with my product and how it was processed and ultimately ended up in my possession.  Just wanted to clarify some of the potential issues  in hopes of helping out in the long run

I get frames from a place called Cheap Pete's.  They have really cheap ones you assemble yourself, and ones that are really expensive and custom made. The ones I get are black, cost about $30, but are pretty nice and the fit is perfect.

Since I already have so many lithos (with more to come), I'm going to invest into a cheap display portfolio to keep all of these in. No way I can afford 12 frames for each one.

EDIT: Hmm, upon closer inspection of my Citadel litho, I can see a this green and pink outline on nearly every structure, as if the press used for it was slightly misaligned. Does anyone else notice this?

You are correct, I didn't noticed it as much until I looked closer. The printing press must have been misaligned. :?

I only notice this on the far right structure. I got my Citadel print the first run though. Pretty sure they were all printed at the same time though.

Hey Everyone - We've forward this string on packaging and improvements to the new method and I'll follow up with the warehouse tomorrow. More to come on that.

As for support case response, we have been a bit slower over the past 1 1/2 weeks a we are training some new support staff. We'll get back to quick responses soon and if you have a specific issue that isn't being address please email me and I"ll take care of it.

Thanks!

As always I'm amazed at the level of support from you and the Bioware store. Someone needs to give you a raise or somethin'

Cheers

My replacement is shipping today! This is really awesome on Bioware's part.

I went to Michael's today and picked up a frame for $30 on sale; how convenient that the lithos fit perfectly in a poster frame! I have some Bioshock lithos that are irregular so the matting I used to frame them covers up a good 1-2 inches.

^-- O_o

Anyways, i got mine a few hours ago - wasn't home when they arrived and there was a thunderstorm in the area. They didnt get rained on and i dont think the humidity did anything to them, so YAY for that, but yeah...lookin at frames now. Gotta admit, they're amazing quality...

Image IPB

Phone camera + yellow light doesnt do it justice, but meh...

So yeah, we all should post pics of how we framed them, where they are on our walls, which rooms we dared to put them in, how they're organized, etc...
