I have a question related to this....so, while my city elf is likely to feel sympathy for poor orphans in need of some stuff, I'm starting to get the impression someone might be taking advantage, ie some of the conversational bits that happen among the patrons behind you as you're looking at the board/donation box.

I wish there were walkthroughs already posted places, just so I can find out if there are any negative effects to completing all of the Blight Orphan related quests.

I thought it was obviously fake. Didn't try it. Might have to do it in the future.

I don't think so-other than nathan disapproving during it.

I was hoping at the end you could determine who they were - whether patron or actual children. I think they were patrons, to be honest.

Oh, it was obviously the patrons. I fulfilled it just to see where it would take me, and sadly it really didn't end in a funny manner or anything. Bit of a disappointment actually.

Sad :(

I was convinced it was the patrons until they sent me to pick up toys and things from around town that they 'lost'. Why would a drunk patron want a child's doll, after all?

Ya I was wondering if it really was kids too until I went in the tavern n they were talking about mysterious benefactors etc lol

Not sure if I'm gonna finish it, not sure how I feel about taking a certain something out of the chantry lol. I may not believe in some of their methods, I still don't feel comfortable with taking something like that. But that's just me lol

I was actually hoping Ollie from Denerim was going to turn up with his friend at the end, but that notion was killed like 2 quests into it, because the patrons behind you start talking about how they're fooling some sap into doing all this malicious stuff. I almost stopped doing it when I got to the scarecrow with a knife in its head (because that crossed the line between prank and creepy stalker) but I figured I'd done the rest, might as well finish it. Nathaniel disapproves, Oghren approves, I hate the Chantry so it was okay but still disappointing.

Why would a child want a pitchfork and brandy? The world will never know.

Chantry book is in the Chantry on the altar (sorry, forgot the book's name)

Knife is in the kitchen in the Inn

Flowers are in the Chantry in the Mother's room

Shoe soles are by the Weapon merchant

Doll is behind the wagon below the chantry

Pitchfork is in the tree by the Inn

Pie is near Mervis in the Merchant alley

Scarecrow is by the entrance to the Keep (in the yard outside the city walls)

Melisse's house is directly right when you pass Aiden (the guard with the orange name)

Bugs: even if party members are not present in your group, some of them WILL disapprove of your actions when you do part of this quest (i believe the book part)

Reward for finishing the questline: nothing that i can tell

What was the deal with Melisse? They were mad at her so they threatened her and then apologized?

This. I gave some money once and it turned out that Melisse opened something for actual orphans or something.

lol yes it was an obvious scam by the two guys behind you, i was hoping it would let you confront them if you completed it, but appearantly the warden commander is just a putz who falls for these things, even when people are loudly talking about it behind him.

it was just a "fluff" quest, something meaningless and obscure to fill in game time.

i found it mildly entertaining at first, then just annoying

If it gets you experience who cares if you ruffle some feathers here and there? The Revered Mother will probably get better... and those Moonshiners.... and that tomato patch..

Oh nvm

It shows up in the epilogue? I did all of it and got nothing Bleh. Just like Deathstyk said though, it was a bunch of "Go fetch quests" in order to increase game length.

I'm afraid that the flowers for the Revered Mother's bed are going to be poison or something, and people will start rioting or something... I'm kind of afraid to give them the pitchfork as well.

I wish that the quest left little clues, to track down who actually leaves it. Ie, say you started off talking to the bartender for where the lil blighters actually are. Instead it just leaves you doing something thats obviously fake lol. I stopped at the robbing of the book, it just seemed stupid.
