Sound Bug with the Shrieks at Vigil's Keep confirmed. Background sounds only, music intermittent. No 'sword" sounds, footsteps, menu "clicks" sound missing.

Duncan's Sword Equipped in imported save. It was missing at the start of the game. Re-spawned in my inventory once I reached the Main Hall of the Keep. Now I have two Duncan's Swords! (Nice)

Graphics do appear more stable to me. I had serious issue with lagging framerate on Origins, issue with the smoothness of the camera and choppy lag when in battle. At this point, it seems smoother/ more stable in Awakenings.

3-4 hrs of playtime thus far. N. America NTSC Awakenings Download. 80 Gig. Fat Ps3. 19 Gig. Available.

I think I found a serious bug. Like many others I was naked after I imported my character. But then I realized that my strength was still the same as before the transfer. I can wear new items and still have those invisible strength points.



I think maybe you have to give us the items we paid for after all so we can take them off when WE want to? Just a thought.

This happened to me in the original. Press Select, then press Select again, and everything should be fixed.

* Vigil's keep basement - Letter on the floor just yields "Codex:" with no codex title or content.
* Seems like Air of Insolence is a major source of sound problems. As long as I keep from using it the sounds seems ok. But I have to say the visual effect on that skill is also mayor annoying...
* The game/graphics are very choppy, like playing on an old computer.
* Wade got a halo while you talk to Herren. The outline of his head is higher than the rest.
* In my Codex, under the "Notes" section I now have 7 empty codex entries.

Just finished fighting the Darkspawn in Vigil's Keep (not just Shrieks) and got sound issues pretty much all the way through. The music was playing but no battle sound effects at all.



Getting blank codex entries too.

I've been getting blank codex entries as well.

Edit: I'm pretty sure they are Notes and Quest Related. There are way more blanks than # of new codex entries that I've gotten, unless some of my old ones became blank.


Also, the kitten gift disappeared from my inventory at some point without me ever giving it to anyone (by far the most disappointing thing for me).

Oh, I have had that problem intermittantly throughout the whole game, not just Awakenings.  The quick way to fix it (because it can be a real problem during fights) is to press select (or just go to the inventory icon in the radial menu) so it opens full screen, then select out of it again.  That resets the screen and the issue is gone.  Hope that helps :)  It doesn't fix the issue, but lets you work around it without too much trouble.

Sentinel armor doesn't work when equipped on humans lol it's the Warden Commander armor instead lol which looks retarded with the helm and gloves/boots being correct as the Sentinel



Seriously? Come on, Bioware. This is a big armor you featured in your pre-release videos and you can't even get it working right?

I have also experience a few bugs. I unlocked the unlockable door at the mine so I ended up going in there without the elf keeper(Vellane?not good at spelling that name.)



I hope they fix this soon,Oh and my frame rate was horrible in the begining but now it has calmed down quite a bit.I also had the sound drop out for a while in the begining but it fixed itself a short while later.



And the Sentinal armor shows up as the WC set except for the helm wich is REALLY dissapointing because i was really looking forward to that awesome armor.

Nothing major so far, just a couple of minor things:



-I also had sound issues in Vigil's Keep. Spells were silent, the menus made no sound, etc.

-After going through the door to the top of Vigil's Keep where you save the Seneschal, Anders and I were standing directly on top of one another. That's the only time I've loaded an area with that problem, though.

-Anders started holding his arm at a right angle around his waist, fingers curled as though he were casually holding an invisible drink. A leftover from holding the chalice at the Joining, perhaps? He would move the arm a bit to gesture when he spoke, but it wouldn't straighten out and hang normally. For a while I was thinking he just had a bum arm. xD It has since fixed itself, though I didn't notice when.

Worst issue for me is the sentinal armor bug if you have wardens keep it uses that model instead of the black sentinal armor. Other than that the sound issues fix themselves but the missing mini map on a random encounter is lame to.

I had a major graphics bug in the ending credits started rolling that turned everything to boxy and afterwards the interface was unreadable and all images gone. Game was back to normal after rebooting it but it is kinda like a kick in the stones after beating the game.

Other annoying bugs are music not looping in the throne-room, I couldn't make Sigrun go trough the joining because game wanted to move on to endgame so dialogue option was not there and when talking to the Architect at endgame before confronting the boss screen turned abruptly dark greyish until making a dialogue choice and it goes away.

These bugs are only some of the top of my head besides those already mentioned and makes me think Bioware needs to have more realistic deadlines.

Despite all the horrible bugs I did enjoy Awakening.

after kicking the talking spawn at the beginning, i am pleased to say both combat and general gameplay have smoothed out. for the moment anyway....



the codex entries for the DOG character are screwed up, and the description of the old SONGBOOK and DALISH POETRY are all buggy. and again no descriptions of the crafting runes.



its like playing through a thunder storm, im saving often...

Actually, it felt more like a late beta version then a full version that was ready to hit stores.

I hope we wont have to wait months for them to patch Awakening. :unsure:

I have the disk-based version of the game, and I noticed a few bugs.

I noticed the blank codex enteries. Maybe they are related to DLC codex enteries? It is just a guess... although I did see Shale's entry, so maybe not.

Also, numerous sellable Origins quest items, such as Logain's Crown, display code/gibbrish, instead of their correct name, and the description says that there is no info about the item.

The armor runes also lack descriptions.

Finally, after I took the quest from the chanter's board to catch the thugs who were extorting citizens, I decided to explore the city before going to fight the thugs at the gate. Eventually, I went up to the battlements and, as I approached the southern part of the battlements, the battle with the thugs neat the gates started. I had no way to attack them, or to leave...

I'm about two hours in and I encountered a couple of bugs;

Sound effects not playing fully or at all during initial runthrough of the keep.

Main character's model glitched while performing the finishing blow on the first ogre: ogre was reacting normally, but I was floating in the air several meters away.

Respec books don't work on companions.

MC's weapon glitches position: My character is a dual dagger wielding rogue and whenever I talk/interact to/with ANY character/object, the weapon on the left side moves to the middle of my back or overlaps the weapon on the right. And whenever I use my weapons, my left hand will be empty, my right hand will have the correct weapon as normal, and the other weapon will remain on my back. Only unequiping and then re-equiping both weapons fixes it. Although its only temporary.

I found another bug. When I was in court, I decided to let Yemmerly the Ox go free. However, my Codex said that I ordered his arrest and an investigation. No one is in the dungeon, but I don't know if the codex entry will pan out, or if my choice will...

EDIT: He was with the group of people during the assasination attempt, so it was merely the wrong codex entry.

My only problem is that Velanna can't join the Wardens. When I tried to talk to Varel, he says that the nobles has something important to tell you(It's near end game). And The sentinel armor! The helmet looks normal but the armor set looks like the armor from "Wardens Keep". That's the only two bugs I've came across.

Oddly enough, it worked perfectly fine today and my daggers are in their correct positions.:o

This bug is really weird because I can't get it to happen with my other two characters in the party, but whatever. In Knotwood Hills I was just running around playing normally and I got to the part where one gets Sigrun. Well I got her, that all went fine and well, but afterwards it got kind of crappy.

It's like someone turned off certain walls or something. I went to go all the way to the entrance so I could go to Vigil's Keep and respec her, but halfway up the stairs right before you get to the little thing where you get Sigrun I ran off the side of them and got stuck inside of the rocks right there. I was in them on my PC and could run around inside of them and still see some stuff, but I was definitely inside of them. So I switched to my second character, Justice, and ran around and my PC (the one who got stuck in the rocks) popped up out of them before I even like 10 in game feet away.

So that was all fine, nothing really happened from it, it was just kind of funny. Then I was crossing the second bridge, the one before the bridge which leads to the land before the world map, I ran off the side of it somehow and now my PC is stuck in that little area you're not supposed to be able to access under the bridge. I'm talking about the first part where Anders says some line about going into dark crevices or something, I don't remember what he says. It's not party dialog though it's activated by the area I was at.

So I switched to Justice again and ran at the side again and he ran off the edge too and is also in that area you're not supposed to be in. I'd love to get screencaps so this all makes more sense, but I'm on the PS3 version obviously. It's an area with rocks that aren't solid so you can run through them and a set of three pillars before a black wall like one like one that might lead to a different area. Anyways, Anders and Sigrun who are my other party members can't run off the edge, so this is pretty weird. I SHOULD be able to run far away and they'll pop up behind me, but why did this happen in the first place? Sorry if this is long.

Edit: I decided to run far away and sure enough after I got REALLY far (possibly farther than usual to make them pop up) Justice came up, my PC didn't. Then I foolishly switched to my PC and they all popped up in there too, luckily I have a save before though. So I'm loading the save.

Some characters can be boosted to max approval randomly. Occured with Justice, and Velanna upon joining. Sigrun if given Blank Journal.

Sigrun got boosted by 100 approval when I talked to her at the bookcase. I knew it was probably a bug, but I decided to do it next playthrough and sure enough I only got +7 approval so it's buggier than I thought lol.

Yes, I've seen this one too.  It's really bizarre.  My husband had to reload from an earlier save because all of his characters got stuck in this big beige area with rocks you could run through, which was not on the map.
