That's funny because I got a "do not wear" sign on my Noble clothes which is now completely yellow.

Yeah, I've got the same forehead tattoo.  My character's male.  

I don't know if it's related, but my character also opened the game wearing only a loincloth, gloves, and boots.  All of the armor and weapons the character was actually wearing in my former game were missing from my inventory, although some of the extra weapons and a shield that had been in my inventory were still there.  (Kind of weird to go through the first fights wearing my underwear.)

I'm playing on xbox.  Just downloaded tonight.

I tried to fix the fact that (almost) all my weapons, armor, and items disappeared. I went back to my last saved game, moved everything out of my inventory, saved, and then imported the character from that save. No luck. All the same stuff was still gone. Including the Starfang sword, the Honnleath helmet, and the downloadable content like the Dragon Age armor.



Any help would be appreciated.

None of the dlc stuff will carry over, they announced that a while back I think. Unless you're on pc you're out of luck for that sadly...only thing to do is grab some non-dlc items like wades armor set etc to transfer with. Apparently you get better gear fast from what I've read anyways.

We should all prepare ourselves because in 2 weeks they will announce that a patch is coming.  Everyone will spend the next 6 weeks after that screaming that the dex bug fix is coming/not coming and then when it comes it will fix face tattoos.

Just letting you know now.

Also, I'm tempted to import a character with a face tattoo now.  Love the Legacy Tattoo Ass!

I dont know if it will work if you have a face tattoo. My character never had a face tattoo, which is what makes all of this so much more odd for me!

It does say in the FAQ and numerous other posts that no DLC items are transferable with a few exceptions.
In Wardens Keep, only your Tainted Blood Skills will transfer and maybe Asturians Might.
Stone prisoner, on 360 none of the items transfer at all but on other concoles/PC ive heard a few do transfer.
Everything in Return to Ostagar, will transfer.
No DLC "unlocks" like Blood Dragon Armor or Pre order items or rewards from dragon age journeys will transfer over at all.

Its dosnt really make a difference though. You will very quickly get superior gear in Awakening and just end up selling those old items. Might as well sell them in Origens pre-transfer and get your bonuses gold since all your gold transfers fine.


ALSO of note
All your Stats increasing books and stat ups from like the fonts in the circle mages tower will not transfer over. You character will be at base unaltered stats. This has caused some people not to be able to equip the gear they ended origens with because they dont meet the attribute requirments.

I have to say it seems pretty crappy that the items in content I PAID FOR! will not transfer to an EXPANSION! seriously i get the feeling that this game was never tested simply because they knew people would buy it and it would make the company more money. I could not be more dissapointed

Dont worry im sure theres going to be new DLC that will unlock the stuff.
Gotta make a buck lol.


I myself dont mind because that stuff becomes trash rather quickly. I did like the Guildmaster Belt though.

My imported elf mage also never had a face tattoo. In Awakening, there is now the same reported forehead tattoo that says "legacy tattoo asset DO NOT USE!!!"

Yeah I have a tatless import that suddenly had magic marker on his forehead. human male noble. Some other stuff is missing as well like the DLC items, and the above mentioned wardens keep skills didn't transfer thier names or descriptions over either and are listed under "class not found" on the talent page, however they seem to still work, or at least the animations for them do.

I get the feeling that some exec was sitting at home bored one day and said HEY! you know what would be a great idea? If we took all that stuff from Dragon Age that was not working right that had to be scrapped, and told people its an expansion and sell it to them for 40$! That will be fantastic! *SIGH*

Im glad this is being looked at. I already played through Awakenings once and my character didn't have the tattoo but I just started my second play through and I saw the tattoo and got a little worried that something might be wrong with my game data. I knew that a lot of the downloadable items wouldn't transfer but this was way different. I do know that I was wearing the helm of honnleath in this play through and the ancient elven helm in my first so I don't know if the fact that I was wearing a non transferrable item may have casued the tattoo to show up. At least it is being checked out by a developer.
