Darn, same problem now. I can't get past the 2nd fight with the barroness, because it constantly crashes when she's down to 75% health!aglioe wrote...
I'm also having some crashing issues. My crashes usually happen at bigger fights, when the battle is almost done.. boom.. I get "Dragon Age has stopped responding". So, I reload the game, same place and boom.. happens again. I rebooted after this happened the first time and it seemed to help for awhile, and now it's doing it again. My PC (specs and such) are fine, I just don't know what the problem is with this game
I also have all patches installed and never had problems with DA:O.. at all.

Crashed in Awakening and could go and restart my pc. Looked almost like a power down.
Got and 8800GT, 3GhZ DualCore, 2048Ram and windows 7 running.
Please get this fixed. I don't want to experience this stuff again right in the middle of the final fight of Awakening.

In Awakening things have changed:
I could finish my first run with an imported sword&board fighter and had just a few crashes.
The same applies to my second run with an imported rogue.
But my third approach with an imported mage is just ridiculous: During the ealry game with two mages (me and Anders) the game crashes almost during EVERY fight. In the forest where we meet the elf mage that means CTD every few minutes, in other words: unplayable.
My guess: Somehow the visual effects from spells are causing the crashes above all.
E.g. walking bomb casted by me and Anders on two different targets, which explode (nearly) simultanously ==> 99% CTD
The same in DA:O ==> ZERO problems.

win 7 x64. plenty of memory for vid and ram.
Happening during fights, but not every fight, and then it will crash to desktop.
Seems to be random, and it only started yesterday.

Yes I suspect it is some particle effect of some spells that causes the crash.
If that is the case, then it's a second CTD bug. My first crashes occurred immediately after zoning into Ostagar following the cut scene with Morrigan's mother - no spellcasting in sight, no combat.

After Install Origins, (without any patch) no problem, i could play like a geek for hour and hour.
But problems had begun after the first or the second patch, i just can't remember wich one. I bought Awakening 3 days ago, same problem.
So i don't think that the game is crashing because of the Add-on.
Running on Windows 7, Intel core 2 Quad Cpu 2.00Ghz, 4GB Memory Ram, Nvidia Geforce GT 240M
My drivers are updated since 3 month, i've updated nvidia Physx Yesterday.
Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, Operation Flashpoint, Borderland, Risen, Divinity 2, not a single crash, everything 's okay.
I've tryed to set lower settings for Dragon age, no Antialiasing, no Vsync, no special effects, but the problem is still remaining.
So i don't think that chrash is relative to Computer Config or Dragon age settings, or Awakening,
I really think that the updates are the problem. Maybe Windows 7 compatibility.
Anyway, for you and me, the game is still crashing during fight and it really ****** me off !
Waiting for an update ? Should we ask Bioware ? Thanks

Strange enough, these crashes are not reproducible, because when I start the game again and do exactly the same it mostly works.
It seems, that Bioware changed their communictiaons politics quite a bit. In former times - on old Bio-boards - we would have some feedback of a moderator, a QA-guy or a dev since days.

EDIT: Spoke to support who say game is not supported for win7 64, don't see how that would matter given origins never crashes.
EDIT: Awakening is now crashing when i alt-tab.

Is this for real?? As far as i'm concern, the game did not stipulate whether it is supported on 32 or 64bit, just windows 7 on the back of the game.
I'm really regretting getting this game now.
It is like paying money to break the game.
